"Guys, I'm sorry you are here. I should just do what he asks. It's my fault everyone is in this situation. We.....we should have never left the kingdom." I curled up in a ball and cried. I felt like it was all my fault.

"Amaya, it's not your fault. It's okay. We'll get out of here. I believe it." Azar was kind to me. I didn't deserve it, but he was. I stopped crying because Azar made me feel a bit better.

"I hate to ask right now, but where is Mira?" Glaze asked me. I looked up at him and then began to cry. "Amaya, is everything okay?" Glaze was concerned.

"She's gone." That's all I could tell them at that moment. Both Glaze and Azar had sad looks on their faces. I couldn't even comfort them because it wasn't just them that needed comfort.

A few hours later, Azar sat next to me. He didn't say anything for a while. He kinda just stared off into space then looked at me a few times. I think he was trying to figure out what to say. Finally, he looked at me and said:

"You're not really thinking about doing what King Attis wants you to do, do you?" He then turned his head so he wasn't looking at me.

"I don't know. We are here because of me, right now. If I don't do what he wants, I feel like I am letting you all down." I hung my head low.

"Amaya, you'd be letting us down if you did what he wanted. Going with him would cause doom upon the whole world. If you went with him, you'd be letting everyone down, the Kingdom, your family, your friends, strangers, and well, yourself. It's not your fault that we are here. We chose to come, ya know? We chose to be by your side while you followed your dream. So don't let fear and darkness take over your heart because we need your heart. You keep us together. Don't do what Attis wants." Azar looked at me. He was right. I would be letting everyone down.

"Azar, your right. It's just, there is a strong pain in my gut telling me that it's all my fault and that I'm not special or important, or have a purpose in life. I feel useless. I feel as if I don't have a reason to live. I feel like if I do what Attis wants, then everyone will be free and I won't feel that pain in my gut anymore." I explained.

"I'm sorry you feel that way, but you are special and important to me, and you do have a purpose, just you haven't found it yet, that's all. I am always here for you Amaya, you are never alone. I assure you that we'll find our way out of here, so we can stop Attis before he tries to find another pure heart to get that sword." Azar hugged me. Then he went to talk with Glaze.

For over an hour, I sat in the corner of the cage and thought about how Ladon could do something like this! He betrayed all of us. And he did it for gold. I thought when we met him he wasn't like the other Black Dragons, but I was wrong. I was so wrong. He pretty much used us to get what he wanted and now we were in twig jail.

While I was thinking I overheard Juno the snake, talking with another prisoner. I motioned to Azar and Glaze to be quiet so we could listen. This is what I heard.

'Lyon, you uncle is gonna doom ussssss all." The snake said.

From what I could see between the twig cages, was a large Griffin, a bit smaller than King Attis. "Curse him. He didn't even grieve my mother's death. He just took the throne. He should not be the king." The Griffin said. I think Juno called him Lyon.

"Yessss. Lyon, you are the one who sssshould be king. You're the rightful heir to the throne. Insssstead you uncle locked you in thissss prissson." Juno slithered closer to his twig cell. "Your uncle is planning to use a young sssssshe-dragon to get the Dragonsssssbane sssword. He needs a pure heart, and the sssshe-dragon has the pure heart he needssss." Juno hissed.

"Oh great. The last thing we need in the world is for my uncle to get the sword and release the Zerklin and have the power to rule them. Where is the she-dragon Juno?" Lyon asked. He had a gentle voice. "We need to get her out of here. If my uncle uses her, the world cannot be saved."
