Hi everybody. If you are here from my previous unfinished book, The Animagus, then welcome back! If not, welcome! First and foremost, I am an AP English student who simps for Grammarly, so I can assure you Grammar will not be a problem.
I can positively say that you will not be disappointed with my knowledge of HTTYD. I have watched: all 3 movies, RTTE, Defenders/Riders of Berk, Book of Dragons, Legend of the Bonenapper, Gift of the Nightfury, Homecoming, Snoggletog Log, and plan to watch Rescue Riders sometime soon. I also played their game, School of Dragons, a LOT. Oh and they're spelled Ryker and Daggur, not Riker and Dagger. ;) Oh, and also, Gobber's sheep is named Phil.
I am also debating adding slight smut between Hiccup and Astrid. It will be my first time, so please do not be too harsh. However, I do welcome constructive criticism if you have ideas. Feel free to also leave any other suggestions, ideas, or requests in the comments! I'll do my best to look through them. If you want, you could also leave a request on my page, so I can find it more easily.
Additionally, please, I implore you. DO NOT STEAL MY COVER ART. I spent more than 15 hours making it. Feel free to use it IF AND ONLY IF YOU GIVE CREDIT. Please, I do not mind if you want to use it, just tag me. :)
Lastly, the plan. I plan to post a chapter about once a week and will post a note at the bottom of the most recent chapter for a target release date for the next or other updates. The first few chapters will be posted quicker, so the story has a foundation. I have a Google Docs plan of all my chapters, and the book will be about 30+ chapters (I hope). Please be aware that I have always struggled with my mental health (which is why I stopped my first book), but recently I've had a better handle on it. This new plan for publishing should also be great to help balance everything, so I do not anticipate stopping (cut to...).
If this book goes well, I actually have somewhat of a plan for the next one. If the book proves to be popular in the comments, views, etc., I'll consider it. In this book, Hiccup is about the same age as the second movie after the prologue and for the majority of the book. If you'd like to change that for yourself to fit better, feel free to change it at will.
For time skips I use '***'. I don't put exactly how long, but there will be an indicator in the story.
