When Meryl woke up, she was not quiet sure where she was. She just lay in the bed and looked around. She did not know how she got to a bed. She does not remember moving to a bed last night. Maks must have carried her into here. But where was here? Whose room was this? Was it Maks' or Val's? She couldn't see anything that would give it away. There was a picture frame on the bedside table but it was a picture of both Maks and Val. She thought about getting up but was just so comfortable. She was waiting for morning sickness to hit. She lay in the bed and played on her phone. Wait where was Maks? She was about to text him when morning sickness hit her. She jumped out of the bed and ran towards the bathroom. She made it just in time. Her three waves of sickness came just as fast as yesterdays. I must be getting close to the end of this. Meryl flushed the toilet and closed the lid. She sat on top of the toilet lid so she could wash her hand and face; she noticed a piece of paper and picked it up to read what it said.
"Meryl, I hope you slept well. Here is a toothbrush you can use if you want to brush your teeth. Feel free to take a shower if you want as well. I don't have any girly soap though. You might notice you are not in your dress anymore. I took it off for you last night when I brought you in here. Don't worry though; I managed to get it off while you had this shirt on top. Feel free to keep it on. We'll go back to your place to get you a change of clothes later. Depending on when you read this, I'll either be still asleep in Val's room or I'll be in the kitchen making us breakfast. Just text me so I know you up. Remember you are beautiful. - Maks"
Meryl hadn't noticed that she was in one of his shirts but she loved it. She grabbed the collar and smelled it. It smelled just like Maks. She might just have to keep this shirt. Meryl decided to grab a quick shower. She wasn't even sure what time it was but she felt gross.
Maks woke up and checked his phone. There was no message from Meryl. He walked out the door and stood with his ear to his own bedroom door. He could hear the shower running. Maks smiled and went to the bathroom before he went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
Once out of the shower, Meryl put Maks' shirt back on. She didn't have a brush so she just brushed her fingers through her hair and then braided it. She went out the bathroom door to go text Maks when she smelled breakfast cooking. She got really excited and grabbed her phone and walked out into the hall and headed towards the kitchen.
Maks was at the sink cleaning some blueberries. Meryl came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him. Maks didn't jump this time. It was like the rest of him just returned.
"Good morning teddy bear."
"Good morning Princess. Why did you just call me a teddy bear?"
"Because you are one. You're big and soft and cuddly. I like teddy bears."
"Oh well then that's fine as long as that means you like me too."
"Of course I like you." She smiled in his back and contemplated saying what she was thinking. Go for it Meryl. You told Jenna to so you need to. "More than you know."
"I like you too Meryl. A lot." Maks turned around and wrapped his arms around her holding her in close.
"Really?"
"Really."
"Maks... I'm not sure if I'm ready for a relationship yet, but I really like you and I don't want you to leave me."
"Meryl, I'm never going to leave you. I promise. I feel things with you that I have never felt with anyone else. I will wait until you're ready. Just tell me when ok?"
"Ok. Thank you Maks."
"Anything for you, Princess."
'What did you make for breakfast? It smells so good."
