(y/n) could of never predicted this. It was just an unlikely pair that (y/n) never saw coming. 

At first Gauche could come off as unfriendly, ill-mannered, and a bit selfish. Extremely selfish when it comes to the person he loves. After Marie scolded him, he began to be more caring towards his squad mates. 

Vanessa is a person with a very relaxed manner who does things at her own pace. She's a very caring person, the sweetest person that (y/n) knows. However, she also likes to seduce her fellow squad mates. 

Gauche didn't really like it when Vanessa would try to make advances on him. Anyone could see the discomfort on his face, but they were still friends. 

But (y/n) never thought that Gauche and Vanessa were so close. So close that they were hiding a relationship behind her back.

When (y/n) saw Gauche talking to Vanessa, she didn't think much of it. However, it all turned around when she got a little bit closer. She could hear their conversation. 

".. I never knew I could love someone else this much. I can't imagine being with anyone else but you. Will you do the honor of marrying me?" Gauche asks Vanessa. 

Shock ran through (y/n)'s body. Their relationship was so far in that he was asking Vanessa to marry him? Just how long have they been hiding this behind her back. 

"What in the actual hell is going on?" (y/n) asks causing both of them to flinch. Gauche jumps to his feet in a hurry. 
He looks a bit panicked, which somehow aggravated (y/n) more. 

(y/n) didn't even give them a chance to explain. She already knew everything she needed to know. Actions speak for themselves. And she saw every single of it, heard it too. 

"Was everything a lie, Gauche? Or maybe it was some sick joke? What did you even gain out of this?" (y/n)'s voice was starting to crack. 

She was holding back the sobs. Honestly, she just wanted to break down and cry right there. Just imagine, you think everything is great. You have the love of your life and you're happy. But boom! It's a lie. Everything's a lie. She felt like she was going to have a whole mental breakdown. 

Well, she was. After she gave them a piece of her mind and left. She rather not breakdown in front of them. She didn't want to look pathetic. 

"(y/n) it's-" Gauche starts but she cuts him off. 

"And you Vanessa!" (y/n)'s harsh gaze lands on Vanessa. "I thought we were friends! How could you go behind my back and do this to me? You knew how much I love him." 

(y/n) couldn't hold it anymore as rebellious tears started to slip out her eyes. She didn't even know until a tear landed on her lip. When she tasted the saltiness liquid, she wipes at her face. Getting rid of any unwanted tears. 

"I hope your happy together." (y/n) harshly says before leaving the two of them alone. 

(y/n) was able to get pretty far before she completely broke down. 
She fell down on her knees as the tears now freely fell down her face. The harsh of reality of what just happened hitting her harder than before. She absolutely hated it. 
She really thought she found the one she was going to spend the rest of her days with. 

All in all... she felt like shit. 

As she started to run out tears, she hears footsteps behind her. 

She looks up, thinking it was someone else. She didn't know how long she was crying for. Maybe someone heard her or maybe she was annoying them. 

However, she didn't expect to see Gauche there. She really didn't want to see him... for awhile. 

He had a frown on his face as he looked down at (y/n). He already felt shitty that she caught him at an awkward time. But now he feels even shittier that he's the reason that (y/n)'s crying. 

"How'd you know I was here?" (y/n) asks as she looks away from him.

Gauche sighs as he walks closer to her and squats next to her. He didn't want to touch her, knowing that it would only cause her to snap. 

"Because I know you (y/n). I know all your spots." He softly says. 
(y/n) doesn't say anything. All she does is pout. 
Gauche had to hold in his gushing. She just looked kind of adorable.

It was quiet between them for a second, which made (y/n) wonder what exactly Gauche wanted with her. 

Was he here to rub in Vanessa and his relationship? Or maybe he was here to gently let her down about their relationship. Whatever it was, (y/n) didn't like it. 

"It's not what it looks like (y/n)... I promise." 

(y/n) looks over at him to see that he was looking down at the ground. He had a subtle blush on his face and he looked really nervous. 

Why was he looking like that? It made her confused. 
However, she couldn't just dismiss what she saw. 

"Then what was it. Because it really looked like you were proposing to Vanessa." 

Gauche purse his lips as his heart starts to beat faster. This was it. His moment was coming up. He just really wished he practiced with Vanessa more. 
He was so nervous. 

"I know this isn't really going to make sense. But that proposal wasn't meant for Vanessa." 

(y/n) lets out a dry chuckle, "then who was it for?" 
"For you." 

(y/n)'s eyes widen, "Huh? But why were you-" 
"I was nervous, okay?" 

(y/n) didn't say anything. She was going to let him continue. 

"I wanted to propose to you. But I was really nervous. So Vanessa offered to help me with it. So what you saw was me practicing. Practicing on how I was going to propose to you.... but I guess that's ruined now." 

Guilt started to run through (y/n)'s veins. Maybe she should of let Gauche and Vanessa explain. But it was all in the heat of the moment. 
There was also excitement running through her. Her heart started beating faster. Just the thought of him proposing to her made her almost squeal in delight. 

"It's not." 

Gauche looks up at her. He wasn't expecting that answer. 
"Really?" 
"Yes... I still love you Gauche. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else." 

Gauche smiles hearing the similar words he said earlier. 

Gauche moves around a bit so that he was now on one knee. They were still at the same level, since (y/n) was sitting on the ground. 
It's not what Gauche was picturing, but he didn't care. He was about to propose the girl he loved. 

"(y/n).. I know that I can mess up a lot and I know that I'm not easy to deal with sometimes. But you really helped me become the person I am today. I can't imagine being with anyone else but you. So would you do me the honor of marrying me (y/n)?" 

Tears welled up in (y/n)'s eyes. Sure it wasn't perfect, but it was perfect to her. She had the perfect man for her and she had the perfect life ahead of her. 

Everything was perfect.
