HOW TO LOVE~ PATRI [FL]

Patri didn't really love or trust anyone. All his love and trust went to his fellow elves. He didn't really care about humans. They really weren't that great to him. 

Until one day a human showed up with those other two humans. This humans name was (y/n). There was nothing special about this person . Just plain (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes and normal height. There was nothing special about this person, but yet... why did he feel so drawn towards them? 

Everyday (y/n) was there, just reading books and learning about their own culture. He could see the sparkle in their eyes and they intensely listened to what they were being told. 

He wanted to be with them so bad, but there was one problem. He didn't know how to love. Well, he didn't know how to love a human at least. He thought it was going to be different. When loving his own kind, it was easy but he didn't know if he should treat (y/n) differently. 

So, he confided in the only person who knew he could. Licht. He did after all love one of the humans. Tetia, was the human that Licht loved, if he remembered correctly. 

When Patri went to Licht and told him about his problems, Licht laughed. 

Laughed. 

How could he find this serious situation funny? All he wanted to do was talk to (y/n). 

"Love (y/n), just like you would love any other one of us." 

So... treat (y/n) normally? Just like any other elf? At first it sounded ridiculous, but it almost made sense when he thought about it. 

The next question was, how did he really know that he loved (y/n)? 

1. Preoccupation: 

(y/n) was constantly in his thoughts. It wasn't just 'oh, (y/n) likes this' whenever he saw something that was related to them. 
No, it was (y/n) just always in his mind. (y/n) literally filled every waking thought of Patri. Sometimes he wouldn't even get a proper night of sleep because of it. 

2. Idolization: 

Also known as the 'smitten' stage. 

Everything that (y/n) did was just so cute. Whenever they brushed a strand of (h/c) hair behind their ear, he wished that he was the one doing it. When (y/n) bit their lip- it was utterly cute. 

Often times he would find himself just watching (y/n) from afar, just admiring them. At first, he admit, it was kind of creepy, but he couldn't help himself. (y/n) was literally perfect in his eyes. 

3. Awkwardness: 

He hated when got so awkward around (y/n). After all they were human, nothing special, right? 
Wrong. When he looked at them, it was like they were a god/goddess. He wanted to be perfect for (y/n), but every time he got the chance to talk to them he stuttered and made himself look a little stupid. 

4. Increased Intimacy:

Patri never thought he would get close to a human ever in his life. But whenever he was around (y/n), he couldn't help but be closer to them. He absolutely loved when they sat by him. Just the slightest brush of contact made his heart beat faster than usual. At first he wondered how a human can get their skin so smooth and soft like that. 

He loved the small hugs that (y/n) initiated. He loved smelling their (h/c) hair, when (y/n) hugged him. Whenever (y/n) got a little nervous, they would hold onto his hand. When they first did this, he got so flustered and didn't know what to do at first. But now, he looks forward to those moments with them.
