I was happy all day after that. I don't even know why, really. Not even my mom could make me upset.

After dinner, I went up to my room and picked up my notebook. Whenever something good actually happens to me, I write it down so I never forget it. When I'm done writing, I put on a movie and doze off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I get snapped back into reality when my mom gets me up for work. I get dressed and grab a granola bar on my way out.
Everything was the same old crappy job, up until lunch.
I clean up the last table from breakfast when a teenager walks in and sits at a table. I take the container of dirty dishes over to the kitchen.
I get some silverware and a menu for the teenager and bring them to him.
"Hi, my name is Macy an I'll be serving you today. May I take your or....."
I stop when I realize who it is.
It's the new boy that lives across the street from Hannah.
"Uh, yeah, um, so can I start you off with a drink?" I ask, trying not to sound stupid.
"Yeah, I'll have a Sprite, thanks," he says, not taking his eyes off me.
"Ok, I'll be right back with that."
I walk off and I can feel his eyes staring at me from behind. If he's staring at my butt, he's got another thing coming.
I get the Sprite and bring it back to him as more people walk in for lunch. "Here is your Sprite, and what would you like to eat?" I ask.
"Um, I'll just have a cheeseburger," he responds.
"Ok, I will be right back with that," I say. I give the order to the cook and help the other customers.
When the boy left, there was a tip on the table and a phone number rolled up with the money. I look at the number confused.
The cute boy gave me his number.
I smirk and slip the number in my pocket and put the tip in the cash register because that's the kind of nice person I am.
Just kidding.
I'm just in a good mood.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When I get home, I go straight to my room to get my phone. I sit in my windowsill and reach in my pocket to get the phone number when I can't find it.

Crap!

I left it in my apron pocket!

Oh crap! Oh crap! Oh crap!!!!!!!

What if he was expecting a call tonight?! What if he thinks I don't like him?!

I breathe, trying to calm my nerves. Why do I freakin care about it? I don't even know his name.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I wake up, I get dressed faster than I ever have and I make sure I have my phone with me. I forget breakfast and go to my car.
When I get to work, I grab my apron and pull out the number. I start dialing the number and he picks up after the 4th ring.
"Hello?" he asks.
"I'm sorry, I left my phone number in my apron and I didn't notice until I got home..." I realize I'm blabbering and I shut up right away.
He laughs. "Oh, it's you! Macy, right?"
"Yeah," I say. "I still don't know your name."
"Oh, right. My name is Jason."
There's a small moment of silence.
"So...." Jason says.
"So...."
This is going great...... not.
"When you're done with your shift, would you like to...."
"I'd love to!" I respond. "Oh wait, sorry, you weren't done talking..."
He laughs. "It's ok. So, um... meet you at the park....?"
"Yeah. Sounds good." I say. "My shift is over at 7."
"Ok. I'll be there."
"Ok. Bye."
"Bye."
I end the call and I can't believe what just happens. That never happens in reality TV shows.... over the phone.... no one gets that much luck when you don't even know the guy....
My knowledge from watching reality TV all my life.
AN:
Kinda a weird chapter for me to write. I didn't really know what to put. I hope it's good anyway. Please comment what you think.
