The erudite just invaded the amity compound. I thought Tobias was gonna get ran over by that train! And I thought Tris hated guns after she killed Will.
Oh well.
Still amazing.
(I still haven't seen it, so shhhhh)
I look at Jason and he seems just as interested as me.
I look back at the movie and watch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The movie ends, and I absolutely loved it. Even if there's an issue that doesn't follow the book, I always end up loving the movie just as much as the book. Unless it was the Percy Jackson movies. I lost count on how many things didn't follow the book.
The movie ended around 4:30. Jason and I walk out of the theatre, talking about the whole plot and how much it relates to the book.
"The box wasn't in the book, but it really captures some of the best moments," Jason says.
"I think the box thing was ok, I just love the whole thing!" I make a large hand gesture while talking.
We get in the car and pull out of the parking lot. "Now," he says. "the woods."
On the way there, we talk more about college and how we're going to meet up on weekends and sports events (if we make the team). I may be going to film school, but we still have sports because it's not a huge film school, so there's other classes.
We pull up to the woods and get our things. We begin the small hike through the woods to the pond.
We walk for a few minutes while talking about music when I see this tall tree that looks easy to climb. I smile at this for some reason. I stop in front of the tree.
"What are you doing?" Jason asks.
I'm already swinging my leg up onto the first branch. "I'm climbing this tree," I say, stating the obvious. I swing my other leg up on the branch, so I'm sitting on it. I get on my knees and look at the next branch. I wrap my arms around it and use the tree to get my feet up.
"Are you crazy?" he asks.
"Pretty much!" I look down at him. "You coming?"
He smiles and grabs the first branch. I turn my focus back to getting securely on the second branch. I get back on my knees and look for the best option to keep going up. The best choice is right above me.
I take a deep breath and wrap my arms tightly around the branch. I go up a little with the help of the tree and tightly wrap one leg around the branch. I swing my body up into a sitting position.
"You're good at this," Jason compliments. "Do you usually climb trees?"
"No, I guess it's either from climbing out and into windows so often or climbing the climbing wall at recess in elementary. I was faster than everyone."
He laughs. "I don't usually do things like this." He just got on the second branch, so I don't really doubt that.
I smile and look around for more branches to climb on.
Around 7 branches later, I reach the top of the tree. I scoot over on the top branch so Jason can fit. He swings up and is almost out of breath.
"Man, I am out of shape," he says.
I laugh and take a look at the view.
It's amazing up here. You can see the whole forest rolling up and down hills and the whole skyline.
