Chapter 19 - Reunion

The Great Forest of Jura

Shiori POV

It is still morning in the Great Forest of Jura and there stands two groups facing each other with a tense atmosphere surrounding them.

One group is led by a tall woman who has short black hair wearing something that looks like a uniform with a few people behind her wearing a similar-looking outfit.

The other is a group led by a human girl with some humans, some kijin, raccoon folk, dragonewt, and an orc lord.

Of course, the second group consist of me wearing my modified Raizen High uniform. I am bringing Shinji, Mio, Mana, Kazuma, Shizue, Gabiru, Rem, Ram, Shion, Raphtalia, and Geld.

The large field was quiet before I begin the conversation.

Shiori- "Greetings, my name is Shiori Takamiya, leader of the Great Forest of Jura Alliance. May I inquire the reason for this visit?"

Hinata- "I'll introduce myself as well, my name is Hinata Sakaguchi. I wish to see if the new gathering of monsters is going to be a threat to humanity"

I could hear my subordinates are getting ready to draw their weapon. I need to calm them down.

Shiori- 'Calm down guys, I would love it if this doesn't turn into a fight. Maybe it will, but it would just be a friendly spar at best, so just lower your weapon and look calmer'

They lower their weapons but get confused by my statement while staring at the other party.

Shiori- "So you're here to kill the monster from my city or conquer it to become part of your empire?"

Hinata- "I did not say that, although someone ruling this many monsters might be a problem and I need to see if you're someone to be trusted or not"

*shing*

She unsheathes a sword and throws it away, then brings out a rapier to then point it at me after taking it out from its scabbard with her stance ready.

Shiori- "The good ol' sparring session, huh? Trya, can you officiate this match?"

A burst of leaves then flows upward to then replaced by Trya standing in its place beside the imaginary barrier.

Trya- "Very well, I shall officiate this duel between Shiori Takamiya and Hinata Sakaguchi"

I mostly ignore the look of bewilderment from everyone who comes with Hinata to this forest.

Hinata- "So the thing about you being the ruler of this forest is true, huh?"

I'll need to ask her about that later. Can you remind me, Nia?

Thank you, Nia.

Trya- "The duel will end if one side decides to surrender or if I put a stop on it"

We nodded our head as I unsheathe 'Rimuru' from its scabbard and then prepare my stance as well.

Hinata- "The usual rule?"

I was shocked for a second when I see her slight smile after saying that and give her a smile of my own.

Shiori- "The usual rule"

Trya- "Begin!"

She lunges at me with incredible speed and I block her strike without much problem, kick her on the side of her body after moving to her right, she got launched not that far away and fix her stance and circling the area with me as we walk and not taking our attention away from each other.
