our ways of knowing the world through breaking pieces apart and measuring may know very much about pieces but not enough about big pictures - may know very much but do not always ask the right questions, or from at the right angles, intelligent eyes measuring wrong things for wrong reasons - the heart and the mind must walk together in equal strides if we want to truly get anywhere, the brain is a tool not a compass the heart is the compass without the heart we have always measured wrong and known wrong (or at least not known fully) and always will
