        Dylan's POV

They led him thorugh the seemingly endless white halls. They walked for about five minutes in a tence silence before finally stopping at a door that looked the same as the one he and Alex were locked in. The wonan typed in a code. The door shot up and he was shoved roughly inside.

He stumbled a little before catching his balance. When he looked up, the room he was in was identical to the one he just left. The only difference was the girl sitting on the floor wasn't Alex. She was sitting wiht her arms crossed over her chest like she was in the middle of doing sit ups.

Dylan stood there staring at her. She was staring back at him. After about a minute of awkward silence, Dylan finally spoke. "Who're you?"

"Gwen," she said. Dylan had never been much of a talker. Aparently she wasn't either. "Who're you?" she asked him.

        "Dylan," he answered.

"What happened to Newt?" she asked.

"I was hoping you could tell me," he said.

She shrugged. "When they took him he was fine. They were going to heal his shoulder."

        "Heal? Completely?"

"Yeah they can make it like it never happened."

"Sounds like you speak from experience."

She put a hand on her thigh as if re-living a memory. "Yeah well..."

They settled into silence once again. It went on for so long that she gave up staring at him and began doing push-ups.

He crossed to the bed that looked unused and and sat down. He burried his face in his hands and tried not to think about his current situation. He took a deep breath and looked up.

"Hey can I ask you something?" he asked.

"Yeah," she said, not breaking from her excercises.

"Are they going to kill Alex? Or me?" he asked.

She stopped and looked at him. "Are you two immune?"

        "Yeah."

"Then they won't kill you. At least not now. They want to use us for something. I don't know what for though. They won't tell me. But you and your friend are safe... for now."

But he hadn't heard the last sentence He was thinking back to the visit with the crazy dude. Newt had called him Rat Man. "There was this guy. Newt hated him for some reason. He said something about using immuned to help re-build the Maze."

Gwen's eyes widened. "The Maze? Seriously! They wouldn't! Not after the previous failure! And so soon after. No, they wouldn't."

Dylan shrugged. "That's just what he told us. I have no idea what it means."

"Did Newt tell you what happened to him? What they did to him and his friends?" she asked Dylan

"He told us enough to know that these people are all crazy."

She nodded but said nothing. When silence settled over the room again, it wasn't as tense. It was comfortable. Without another word to Gwen, he lay down on the bed and went to sleep.
