Short Chapter
Mason is in the woods and a car pulls up. He gets in the back because Katherine and Daniel were in the front.
Emerald Coast - One Year Ago
Mason's eyes are yellow after he killed his friend. Then Katherine and Daniel arrive.
"Mason? What happened?" Katherine asked.
""Jimmy attacked me." He said.
"What?why?" Daniel asked.
"He said I hit on Marla." He told them.
"Why would he think that?" Katherine asked.
Katherine and Daniel embraced Mason.
"He's dead, I killed him." He said.
Katherine and Daniel look at the body and at each other and smile as their plan was coming together.
"Everything's going to be ok." She said
Present
Mason leans over so his head is in-between the two.
"What was that stunt today that you pulled with Damon and Stefan Salvatore?" Daniel asked.
Mason grew confused. " I thought you would be happy about that." He said to Daniel.
"He told you to stay away from them." Katherine said.
"Why do you even care?" Mason asked.
"I don't want you distracted. We need you to get the moonstone." Daniel said.
Mason slowly smiled at him.
"You found it." Daniel said
"I found it." Mason said.
"Good job, man." Daniel said. Mason gave them the moonstone and left the car.
Daniel turned to Katherine and smiled. "One step closer." He said
"One step closer." She repeated.
