Chapter 11 : The House Guest

Boarding House

Daniel and Damon are sat in the living room and Elena comes downstairs. Daniel immediately knows it's Katherine but wants to see this play out. "Good morning, Damon." Elena said to him. He looks at her then rushes over and pushes her against the wall by the throat. "What are you doing here? I told you to leave." Damon said to her. "What is your problem?" She asked him. "You're wearing her clothes? Like that's going to work." Damon told her. "You think I'm Katherine? Why would you think that? Katherine's in the tomb! Isn't she?" She asked him.

He releases her. Stefan arrives. "What the hell's going on here?" Stefan asked the trio. "I don't know, you tell me. Is Katherine in the tomb or not?" Daniel asked confused and worried. Stefan rushes over to Elena and pushes her against the wall by the throat. "What are you doing?!" Elena exclaimed. "How could you do this?!" Stefan shouted at her. "Stefan, you're hurting me!" Elena said to him. "Stop it, Katherine!" He told her. "Stop what? It's getting really easy being you." Katherine said leaning on the doorframe with Daniel next to her.

Damon, Stefan, Elena and Katherine are in Stefan's bedroom. "What is she doing here?" Elena asked. "When we killed Elijah, it broke the compulsion and freed the bitch from the tomb." Damon told her. "How's that possible?" She asked confused. "He's an Original. They have all sorts of special skills." Daniel said to Elena. "don't want you here. Get her out of here." Elena said. She then looked at Daniel. "I don't want him here either." She added on. "You need us, Elena. You all do." Katherine told them, referring to her and Daniel.

"Like hell." Stefan said. "We all want the same thing...Klaus dead. Yet here you all are, running around like chickens with their heads cut off." Daniel said, standing by Katherine. "I don't need your help and I don't want it." Elena said to the couple. "And that's incredibly stupid of you. Do you know where Klaus is? When he's coming, what he looks like?" Katherine asked them excluding Daniel since he already knows. " If you two know something, say it or get out." Damon told them. "Fine. Then I'll just go to the Grill and have some lunch...maybe Aunt Jenna's free for a bite." Katherine said. "Brilliant idea, my love." Daniel said kissing her cheek.

Later

Damon is trying to burn Elijah's body with a flame gun but it doesn't work. Katherine and Daniel join him. "Mmm, burning flesh. If you're trying to get the dagger back, you're wasting your time. He's indestructible." Katherine told him. "No kidding. How do you know so much about Original vampires?" Damon asked her. "She spent 500 years running from one." Daniel told him as if it was obvious. "So when I told you my plan to kill Elijah, why didn't you warn me that I'd die if I used the dagger on him?" Damon asked the pair. They looked at each other. "Oh, there's so many rules. It's all very confusing." They said at the same time.

"Did you know I would die?" Damon asked them. "Did Elijah tell you his plan? Did he have a dagger to kill Klaus with?" Katherine asked. "Why are you two still here?" Damon asked the couple. "Because you haven't forcibly removed us." Daniel said to him. He points the flame gun threateningly at her and Daniel. "You wouldn't." Katherine said to him. "Oh, I would." Damon said to her. "Damon, be smart. we want Klaus dead just as much as you do. More. If We weren't  being honest about helping, we'd be long gone by now, okay? You can hate us. But we want the same thing. And you know...we always get what we want." Daniel told him. He lowers the flame gun. She and Daniel are about to leave. "wanted out of the tomb. Didn't matter who paid the price. Of course I knew that you'd die." She said before the couple leave.

Later

Damon and Daniel are in the living room, organizing Johnathan Gilbert's journals. Katherine joins them. "What you up to?" She asks them. "None of your business." "Lolling through the Gilbert Journals." Damon and Daniel say at the same time. Damon glared at his brother who shrugged at him. "How  are we supposed to help you if you won't tell us what you're up to?" She asked. "Can you tell me where a bunch of witches were massacred in this town a couple centuries ago?" He asked the couple.
