Chapter 16

Once again I apologize for the delay. For once we don't have a time skip (literally like the first time ever) and I hope everyone's doing ok. Private messages always open if you guys need

20 minutes of planning, a few arguments, and lots of negotiations later we had a plan

Firstly we grabbed breakfast.

Sam insisted he could make us something but the fact remained that we were all too hungry to wait for Sam's perfectionism.

Ella and I quickly got ready and we headed to the diner a few blocks away.

2 plates of chocolate chip pancakes, 3 plates of waffles, a breakfast burrito, and an omelette later we were sufficiently stuffed and ready to go

We took Ella to the park where we met Nikki and Tessa (Ella gained an emotional attachment to her alarmingly quickly) and we hung out there for a bit.

Next we went to our favorite coffee shop where the barista and her boyfriend who also worked there, were fighting.

This wasn't typical because we knew the two of them as acquaintances and they weren't the type of couple to be fighting in public.

That didn't change the fact that in between taking our orders and making them we heard back and forth screaming like "you just never listen to me" and "well if you had been more direct about what you wanted."

My head was spinning trying to keep up but Ella found it hilarious and the twins were weirdly good at piecing the bits of conversations we heard together.

After coffee Ella and I went shopping while the boys went to go see a family friend their parents had made plans with.

We stopped in a thrift shop that caught Ella's eye and ran in as fast as we could.

Ella had a talent for finding amazing things in thrift shops and I swear the girl had some kind of super power for fashion.

As we combed through the hundreds of pieces of clothing Ella and I caught up on all the things our sporadic phone calls couldn't cover.

I learned her Brother's best friend got a girlfriend and her brother doesn't like her, a New Mexican place opened up a block away from school, and the guy that she was talking to had blocked her.

"I'm sorry Ella" I said as she told me that last part.

It just didn't make sense to me, Ella was amazing, so why couldn't any boys see what I saw and treat her right?

"I'm going to die alone" she complained as she examined a long peach-colored dress.

"No you're not" I said certainly, "you are going to find a great guy who loves you and treats you the way you deserve to be treated" I promised.

"Thanks" she said perking up a bit. "So do you wanna tell me what's going on with you and Paddy?" She asked putting back the dress and picking up a mini skirt.

I laughed nervously, "just friends" I lied.

"Yeah just friends who are in love with each other" she said.

I blushed and looked down at a top.

"Although he does have kinda a weird obsession with Star Wars" she mumbled.

We laughed as we continued to look through clothes, jewelry, and shoes. 30 minutes later Ella had found us both some amazing things.

We dropped the clothes off at my house and met up with the boys to go to lunch.

We went to this amazing sushi place where we ordered a ton of sushi and fish dishes.

Around 20 minutes into lunch we looked over to see a young boy of around 10 playing with his food.

We all smiled in amusement until we saw him pick up a green paste-like substance.

Wasabi, a spicy green paste that should be eaten in small amounts on top of sushi.

This boy ate an entire mouthful.

He began to squeal and fan his open mouth in a futile attempt to make it less spicy.

I had my full attention on the boy until I heard a snort.

I turned my head to find Harrison and Ella absolutely losing their shit over this.

I think they were slightly more amused at this than the little boy was.

After lunch, Tom and Paddy took us to go hang out with some of Paddy's friends.

Tom dropped us off and we walked over to a group of 7 kids.

I immediately ran over to Kylie, Charlotte, and Madison while paddy was off towards Ben, Andrew, Will, and Chris.

After hugs I introduced Ella to our friends and our friends to Ella; however, I don't think she was paying attention whatsoever to me and the rest of us because her eyes had locked on Chris and his eyes had locked on her.

Paddy and I exchanged a glance and we all went and walked around for a while.

Ella and Chris kept lagging behind talking and laughing and we eventually just stopped waiting for them.

Two hours later we were all ready to go home but Ella and Chris still hadn't caught up.

I called Ella.

The phone rang for over a minute before she picked up.

"Hey....umm where the hell are you two?" I asked amused.

"Oh, sorry we went a little off track and we found this really cool coffee place we wanted to try and got kinda sidetracked" she said giggling slightly.

"Oh no worries at all" I said mischievously "you two hang out everyone else has to go home and you know Paddy and I have that thing so no rush"

"What thing?" I heard Chris ask.

"A thing, Chris" paddy said and hung the phone up.

"I think we have a couple in our midst" I said smiling.

"That makes two" Charlotte whispered loudly.

I rolled my eyes and we all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.

Paddy and I went back to the Hollands and were casually watching a movie until the boys got back.

As you can imagine our full attention wasn't exactly on the movie.

Paddy's lips were still locked on mine when we heard the lock of the front door turn.

As always we quickly pulled apart as the boys walked back in.

We exchanged stories of the afternoon and the boys begun fighting over dinner, par usual.

Sam finally decided he would just make a Mexican buffet and we could eat whatever we wanted.

Sam's feast was almost ready when Ella came back in.

Paddy and I immediately began questioning her.

Apparently she had an amazing time and was borderline in love with him.

So much for 'I'm gonna die alone.'
