We were fighting the remaining Deviants, Phastos told us that once we kill these remaining few they would finally be extinct. I impaled one on a spike and then teleported to the forest to meet up with everyone else. Thena was stood to the side while Druig was arguing about saving the people from genocide. I walked to him and Ajak, placing my hand on his arm.
"Druig" I spoke softly directing his attention to me. I shook my head softly and he released the people from his control, I flinched at the immediate sound of gunshots.
"See Ajak, now you're hurting her too" Druig spoke before storming off.
"I'm sorry," I said to Ajak before walking after him. I was about to speak when I heard Thena's voice.
"It's too late. Everyone is going to die" I looked over at her confused as she formed a spear in her hand and went to attack Sersi, Makkari quickly sped in and saved her.
"Thena! no!" Phastos tried to intervene but also got stabbed, I took this as my cue to get involved. I ran over and stopped the swing of her sword making it disappear.
"Thena, listen to me. This isn't you, dont listen to your head" I spoke softly, her eyes began to flicker but I soon felt a sharp pain in my stomach.
"Marigold!" Ikaris and Druig both yelled. I saw a bright flash and suddenly felt as if I was in someone else's body, watching everyone I loved die. Watching the world explode.
"Kari where are you?!" I screamed hoping she would feel my voice. I was running around trying to find everyone. Finally, I saw a glimpse of her suit on the floor. I ran over lifting the piece of building from her body with my powers only to see her lifeless body lying covered in dirt. "No. NO!" I cried.
"GOLDIE!!" Druig yelled to me and I saw him a few hundred meters away surrounded by fire and destruction. I sighed in relief and began making my way to him, still shaken from seeing Makkaris still body. Thena and Gil were engulfed in flames together. Sersi was trapped in a cave. Sprite and Kingo were eaten by the beast of this planet. Phastos was destroyed by one of his own weapons. And Ajak was killed trying to defend Kingo and Sprite.
"DRUIG!" I screamed watching him fall off a piece of a crumbling cliff, I ran to where he fell looking down seeing nothing but the black abyss.
"Mari?" I turned to find Ikaris. I began running to him but just as I was about to reach him something behind him exploded sending me back into a piece of debris. My ears were ringing and my vision blurred. Everyone I loved. Gone. One by one I had watched them die. Alone.
"Goldie"

"GOLDIE" I jumped awake at Druigs voice. I immediately threw myself into his arms.
"You're alive" I whispered "You're all alive" I smiled.
"Of course we are. what happened? you passed out when Thena stabbed you but wouldn't wake up, even after Ajak healed you" Ikaris stepped forward checking me over.
"I- I don't know, It was like a vision, but of a past life. I saw all of you die and the world explode. It was so real" I explained shaking the foggy feeling from my brain.
I looked over at Thena stood sadly by the wall. "Ajak wants to erase all of her memories, It's Mahd Wy'ry," Phastos told me. I looked at Ajak immediately.
"No. You cant do that, you cant just erase who she is. You cant erase our Thena" I stood quickly and walked over to Thena standing defensively by her side.
"I'll take care of her" Gilgamesh volunteered.
"You know that one day you may have to kill her" Ajak informed making my heart drop.
The next part was mostly a blur. Ikaris and Druig arguing. Druig walking down those steps. I tried to follow after him but Ikaris held me back. "Let me go Ikaris I need to stop him I love him!" I struggled against his grip. I tried my best to blast him with my powers but he pinned my arms to my shoulders.
I remember crying for hours. The anger I felt exceeded any sadness. Ajak told us all to go our separate ways. Ikari picked me up from the floor, tears still running down my face, and began to fly away. I lost everyone I love in a day. Just like the vision I had.
