(Sort of inspired by something Awesomeboyz wrote.  In any case...)

"Figured she'd try to hoard them all herself" Miu griped.  Nearby, Sorako stood in the archway, marveling at the castle's interior.

"That's part of her nature, you know" said Sorako, dusting off an old mirror.  "She hates magic.  Any magic that's not hers, that is"  She tapped the mirror's surface.  "What do you think this thing is?"

Miu turned to look at the mirror.  It was as tall as a Rin, or perhaps a Len.  It was edged in gold with fanciful scenes of strange and beautiful places.

"Looks like it belongs to Henri and Juliet" she said.  "Didn't he say that he came out of a mirror?"

"And of course, selfish princess that she is, she just had to hoard them." Miu commented.  "If you ask me, she should be the one in a dungeon"

"She's Rin's ancestor" Sorako countered.  "If we locked her up, Rin's parents could cease to exist.  Or at least become different people..."

Sorako tapped the mirror again, then turned away.  "I wonder if there are other Alternas out there..."

"Other Alternas?" Miu wondered.  "No.  Impossible.  There's only one Alterna"

"Why not?" asked Sorako.  "We already know that there are other dimensions.  We Modules are proof of that.  So why not alternate timelines?  Why not other Alternas?"

Unbeknownst to her, images began to flash on the mirror's surface.  Images of other worlds.  Miu gasped, but Sorako continued.

"I mean, there could be a world where all the Modules with bad endings got good ones..."  Various images flashed on the mirror; a peaceful, medieval society ruled by benevolent golden-haired twins, a Len and Gumi in Victorian dress, him twirling her around in front of a cabin in the woods, a girl with blond hair, stuffed animal in hand, walking together with a black-haired Len and a Miku.  "...and all the Modules with good endings got bad ones." More images flashed; a young couple arguing, a black-and-white Sorako jumping off a building, a girl crying in front of a shattered mirror, a pair of twins being pulled away from each other.

"Or there could be a world where everything is the same, only we all live in the same building.  Like a hostel or something"  The images changed to a large collection of buildings, each glowing with a different color and number.  Outside, various Modules hung out and played with each other.

"Or even..." at this she shuddered.  "There could be a world where Modules are just costumes and only the Vocaloids exist.  Or a world where Modules change Vocaloid's personalities...Or" she was practically hyperventilating now.  "A world where Vocaloids choose which song and Module to adopt, and that becomes their power."

Miu looked back at Sorako.  For once, she actually looked scared.  However she regained her composure and let the frantic Miku out.

"Don't be ridiculous, Sorako.  There's only one Alterna.  It's like a hub.  You can't have more than one nexus.  Come on, let's get out of this creepy place."

Sorako almost turned back, but she nodded.  As she left, though, she could have sworn the mirror glowed.
