So...I was thinking about what made the world of Super Paper Mario paper...And I came up with this!
In front of me is a blank white piece of paper
What should I draw on it?
Perhaps a beautiful world
Where you and I can be together
A bright blue, endless sky
A deep green field
And the two of us, side by side
How many worlds can I draw?
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
I draw only what I see
But what if you're not there anymore?
Do any of these worlds have meaning
If you're gone?
Better still to erase them completely
And I do that,
Returning the "paper" to blank white.
But why stop there?
Why not draw over it?
Covering the paper with whatever you desire?
It's not as if it was set in stone!
And so, I rewrite the norm
Like a book written by an unknown one long ago
What does it mean, to those in the worlds you erase?
Surely they too, have lives and memories.
Even if you have the chance to draw it again
Think about what will happen if you erase a world.
Not everything is quite so paper-thin.
