Nice Girls Finish Last

There was that princess again.  That "fair and lovely princess" who was supposedly one of the keys to the undoing of all worlds, yadda yadda yadda...

All Mimi could think of, though, was that she was just so darn nice.

She technically wasn't supposed to be spying on their soon-to-be-prisoner, but Mimi had never really been one for following the rules, and she had gone out anyway.  It was technically disobeying the count, but she was sure she could get away with it.  One of the perks of her girl form was that it made her easy to get away with stuff.

So here she was, posing as a generic Toadette, watching the princess do her princess-y stuff.  Mimi had to resist the urge to gag.  That princess was being so disgustingly sweet to everyone she met, even giving the castle staff a friendly "Good morning!"  Stupid-head, she thought to herself.  Real princesses boss their servants around, not say good morning to them!  What kind of ruler did she think she was?  (Mimi wasn't technically a princess, but she did live in a castle, so she figured she knew enough about these sorts of things)

Who is she fooling with that pretty pink dress?  She might think she's a nice girl, but she's just a pushover.  All nice girls are.

Mimi hated nice girls, or at least girls who were genuinely nice.  They were just stupid to think that being nice to everybody actually did anything.  Nice girls never got anything done.  She, on the other hand, knew better.  Being nice only got you so far...sometimes you need a little less sugar and a lot more spice.  Mimi may have been adorable, but she was so much more than that.  She was not a nice girl.  Not nice at all.  Mimi liked it that way.

Still, for some reason, Mimi was jealous.

Why was she jealous?  Probably because come on, she was a princess.  Mimi, though, was still pretty and rich, so why would she feel like that?

Maybe because everyone loved the princess so much.  Maybe that was why she was so nice all the time.

Because, deep down, Mimi too wanted to be loved.

She shook her head.  She actually thought about being nice for a change?  She was making herself sick!  The only thing that mattered was her perfect world, and being close to Count Bleck.  That was all she needed!

After all, she was the girl who had everything.

Right?
