"I'm sorry, what?"

Namjoon sits on the leather chair, looking up at the ravenette with a deep frown as Jungkook completely goes into a state of paralysis to what the elder just told him.

"Yeah, they really been following you around," Namjoon mutters, leaning his chin against his fingers crossed, "They even involved the CIA Kook, they're planning on making a move soon."

Jungkook runs a stressed hand through his raven hair, gripping it tightly before getting to his feet to move around Karma's office, "Fuck.... What the hell am I suppose to do now?!"

The elder man stares at the stressed ravenette, sighing heavily, "Perhaps.... Turning in Karma, maybe then they could see you just have been going undercover-"

"No," Jungkook huffs, shaking his head, "Putting Karma behind bars is out of the question."

Namjoon furrows his eyebrows and gets to his feet, "What are you talking about? I'm trying to look after your ass-"

"I know, but trust me putting Karma in that position is a big no, a solid no," Jungkook snarls annoyedly, "There's a lot you don't understand.... Just trust me."

The other didn't say anything from there, only sighs heavily and goes to Jungkook, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Fine, but I wouldn't recommend stepping into the agency at all at the moment. As of now, you're a criminal and a suspect. I'll keep you update," And he pats his shoulder before walking out the room to leave Jungkook weighing over his options.

Namjoon doesn't want to see Jungkook under these circumstances, let alone see him stress about this situation he got himself into. Despite their little past history, he genuinely cares at Jungkook and Yeosang. Jungkook always looked up to him when he was a newbie back then, and he will only continue to look out for him, that's why he agreed to look after Yeosang-

Speaking of the kid, where is he?

Jungkook hasn't mentioned him at all during the times they met up in a while-

Namjoon's train of thought is suddenly rattled when his body suddenly collides with someone else, instantly making him bow apologetically, "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking-"

"Namjoon?"

Namjoon instantly looks up, meeting the familiar eyes of the man he considered as his everything once upon a time. Now he's not a kid anymore with the fire ginger hair, but now he's a grown man.

Yet he's still so ethereal and beautiful.

"Jimin," Namjoon whispers, raising up from his bow, looking over to see his neck not filled with hickeys anymore and his complexion slowly filling with color than from last time he saw him, "I see you're well."

The smaller male smiles sheepishly, moving his eyes to the ground, "So do you," He whispers, glancing at the door to Karma's office, "What are you doing here?"

"Just came to discuss a few things with Jungkook."

The smile on Jimin's lips falters to this, looking up at Namjoon with the disappointment clear behind his crystal brown eyes, "Oh..... You two are still... In good terms?"

"Why wouldn't we be?" Namjoon asks, perking an eyebrow up, "I never did anything bad to him, just didn't tell him about me working for Karma. I kept his son safe and looked out for him whenever he needed it."

Jimin visibly flinches to the mention of Yeosang, feeling his heart tug a massive yank to the agonizing memory and looks away from his gaze, "Right."

The tension between the two seemed to only have grown more throughout this awkward exchange of conversation. There's so much they could say to each other, so much yet so little all at once.
