Tangled Twins

Chapter 1: Sisterly Love

Poppy O'Hair, daughter of Rapunzel, grumbled at her alarm cake. It was dark purple with bright, red digits glowing at her and making an annoying beep noise. It was 6:30 in the morning, classes at Ever After High began at 8:30AM. Breakfast was served at 7:45AM in the Castleteria.

Since Ever After High was a boarding school for future fairytale children, all 3 meals were served everyday. Classes were 5 days a week from 8:30AM to 2:30PM, but extra activities such as bookball or Royal Student council lasted from 2:30 to 3:30PM. 

Princesses did need their beauty sleep, but Poppy's twin was Holly O'Hair, the next Rapunzel. Holly's long strawberry blonde locks went all the way to her ankles and took forever to style. That's why rhey both slept early, so they could have lots of time to style Holly's hair.

Poppy proceeded to brush her teeth. She walked down the hall of their dorm andc turned a left, to a luxurious bathroom. The O'Hair sisters lived in the dorm in a tower, to fit with the story. It'd take forever to go down the flights opf stairs just to use the bathroom, so one was built within the tower for convenience. Poppy began brushing her teeth, before she heard a soft moan of tiredness. "Oh Grimm, what time is it?" Holly mumbled after coming into the bathroom.

Poppy finishes her daily bathroom routine and leaves to find a perfect outfit. Checking the weather app on her purple Mirrorphone, Poppy realized she would need a warm outfit for today's windy weather. Knowing just the thing, Poppy rushes to the closet, while Holly combs her lengthy hair. 15 minutes later, Poppy comes out, fully dressed and ready.

Her outfit includes a warm yarn knit dress, which is black with white and pink horizontal zig-zags. She also has warm black leggings, hot pink ankle boots and a pink scarf. For Poppy's accessories, she has a hot pink headband in the shape of a braid, a white purse and silver stud earrings. Her right hand is adorned in various silver rings, of different shapes, texture and sizes.

"You look great," Holly compliments as she comes out of the bathroom.

A while later, Holly comes out, also ready for school. She wears a lavender long sleeved blouse, and a pastel pink skirt with ruffles on the end. To keep her warm she has a fluffy white jacket. A princess never leaves without her jewelry, so Holly had on a golden tiara with purple flowers, a tower ring and several golden bracelts in the shape of braids.

With 45 minutes to spare, Holly plopped herself down in ythe vanity chair. It was a signal to her twin that she needed her hair styled today. Poppy smiled to herself, she loved this daily sister-sister bonding time in the morning. "Surprise me," Holly said, after she opened up a book.

Poppy said as she grabbed her tools, "With pleasure."

It took a long time because of Holly's long hair, but it was completely worth it. Holly's strawberry blond hair was put into beautiful ringlet curls. Each ringlet was tiny, which meant there was more than 20 individual ringlets in her hair. Holly's tiara pushed back the delicate curls from her face. Poppy grinned, looking at Holly's shock was a joyful thing to her. "I love it!" she exclaimed before jumping up to hug Poppy.

"I knew you would," replied the other twin as she put away her implements.

"I'm so charmed to have a sister like you."

Poppy smiled, "Right back at you."

Then the two sisters headed off to the Castleteria for breakfast. Today it was oatmeal with dried cranberries or scrambled eggs and toast. Both O'Hair sisters took oatmeal and headed to the the tables where the other princesses sat. Poppy usually didn't understand the neat curtseys or royal gossip they spoke, but it was a small price to pay if it meant spending breakfast with her Best Friend Till THE END. These small sacrifices were what made them love and trust each other.

"Hi girls!" cheered Briar Beauty, daughter of Sleeping Beauty/Aurora Beauty.

Rosabella Beauty, daughter of Beauty/Belle Beauty and Adam Beast, also Briar's cousin stood up and smiled at the twins. "Hey Poppy, hey Holly!"

"Oh my godmother!" Ashlynn gasped, "I love your hair, Holly. Let me guess, Poppy did it."

Poppy and Holly nodded at the same time and the princesses squealed. "It's so good!" exclaimed Apple White, daughter of Snow White, "It's perfectly perfect for the next Rapunzel."

The last to words of Apple's sentence made Holly stop. Next Rapunzel... 

Holly remembered a time where she worried day and night that the destiy she desired wasn't hers, but Poppy's. Worst of all, Poppy was not happy about this either and the sisters would have to live their unhappy lives. However, instead of sitting around to weep, they decided to take their chance during Thronecoming. It had changed everything, and it was a secret both sisters would keep until THE END.
