Eugene's P.O.V.

One morning I woke up to find Poppy by herself at the balcony, having breakfast. Rapunzel and Holly weren't awake yet, but I was. I needed to talk to Poppy, I was worried about her. She never been through anything like this and I could tell she was helpless.

I opened the screen door and she turned her head. "Good morning, dad."

"Morning, Poppy, how'd you sleep?"

She replied, "Not bad, still worried about mom and Holly. I mean, what happened?"

"Yeah, I'm worried too."

Poppy took a sip of her coffee and handed me a raspberry danish on a neat, white plate. I took a bite before saying, "They're not the only ones I'm worried about. Poppy, are you okay"

Poppy was silent before she collected her thoughts. "Yeah."

"You can tell me these things," I said.

On the inside I was heartbroken that Poppy didn't feel safe with telling me. On the outside I hid my emotions. I mean, I was her father, why didn't she feel safe telling me how she felt or what scared her. Typical teenagers, always pretending to act cool and tough when they're actually vulnerable and sensitive.

"You know, I was alone when I was your age. Before I met your mom, it was me against the world."

Poppy nodded and repeated that she was fine. I knew she wasn't, but should I push my luck? "Things will get better soon," I say.

"Thanks, dad, I love you."

Third Person P.O.V.

Late at night when everyone was adrift, the smoke alarm went off. Holly was dazed, she was a heavy sleeper. (mostly because her hair covered her ears) The alarms caused an ear piercing screech, that made everyone jolt upright from their beds. However this alarm was no ordinary alarm, it sounded the signal that meant the castle was under attack. Everyone should find the nearest exit and get to the nearest emergency tower hidden in the forests of Corona or fight off the invaders. Eugene instantly grabbed his sword, ready to fight back. Rapunzel had headed off to find her daughters, but Holly wasn't there. "Where is she?!" yelled Rapunzel to her second daughter Poppy as soon as she saw her.

"I think Nona took her and escaped. We should too, Nona knows what she's doing and they couldn't have gotten very far," replied Poppy with panick in her voice.

Poppy knew her father had stayed beck to fight and she wished she could've helped, but Rapunzel would never allow it, no matter what. The duo escaped to a tower at the southwest side of the forest. Inside were bedroom, rations, medical supplies, everything needed to survive for months in hiding. Unfortunately, they never found Holly, but were certain she was safe with Nona. What is happening??? thought Poppy as she silently sobbed. Rapunzel was making a fire and getting some water. Poppy hoped dearly she would be reunited with her father and twin sister soon...
