Note: if he is from the future, this rp should take place modern, historical, or medieval.
If you do not specify a time period I will assume medieval.

(Also note I'm not a history buff, I may do a quick Google search but I won't be an expert on all events of a time period)

Personality
Don't screw up the timeline. That's Callum main mission. He doesn't know if he can or not, there's a lot of varying theories about the time and space flow.

Because of that he tries not to make connections or impact anyone. A friendly smile may be offered if you start the conversation but he's a little reluctant to have a conversation. He doesn't do anything you would remember, anything that would please or offend you. It's safest that way.

Callum sees the greater good in most things. He is selfless and kind. Sometimes to the point that he ignored rules and laws for the good of people.

He's a very generous man. If you can convince him it's safe to be friends, you'll see he likes to smile. He enjoys the small things in life but will give you grand gestures of appreciation and love.

Backstory
"I made a mistake."
Callum is ex military in his time. He had gone to college then joined the military to pay for his education. After completing his contract, he joined a team of scientists interested in making a time machine.

If that seems like a lot of work for a 22 year old, you're right. The future is not a good place.

Callum helped them with developments until they finally did it.  However as they began testing, Callum realized this could be a terrible thing. Sure some said it could be used for good. Get rid of Hitler or stop 9/11. But how would that change the timeline? It was unlikely these events would never happen if they stopped it once.

No, this was too dangerous. Callum went through and deleted all files on the experiments then reset and destroyed the computers so they couldn't be recovered. He burned all paper copies and files of their research. Then he broke the time machine.

Unfortunately in the process he activated it. An uncontrolled blast sent him and a few other items in the room back to your time period.

Family
Mother - Teresa, alive
Father - unknown
Brother (17) - Rein, alive.

Powers
By all technicalities, no, Callum does not have powers. However he is from the future and knows of things that people of this time period don't.

Scenario 1:
You run a shop. Or perhaps just work there. It doesn't matter.

A man came there to buy himself some food and a change of clothes. He looked very strange. At least, his clothing did. You'd never seen anything like that before.

The man seemed out of sort. Was he drunk? He had a messy appearance and stumbled a bit with his walk.  He didn't look quite right in the head.

"Uh, just these." The man said, handing you the items that he wanted. You checked them and told him the price. He offered you some strange looking currency. Nothing you'd ever seen before, certainly not something you could accept here.

What is your response?

Scene 2:

You were there when it happened.

A loud boom like thunder despite a lack of lightning. Then a bright light that forced you to look away.

By the time it faded, a man was there. He wavered on his feet for just a moment then fell to his knees, then forward.

The man clutched the grass under him, breathing heavily. After a moment he rolled onto his back and put his hands on his head, letting the night air caress him.

Where had he come from? What was he and what was that light? The only one who could answer those questions was the man laying there, completely unaware of your presence.

What will you do?

Or make one up!
