Imagine a place of paradise. A land with clear blue rivers snaking through thick forests. Can you hear the wind singing through the tall grasses of the prairie? The birds sing melodies to the sky, eating fruit dropped by bountiful trees. Deer do not flee man, because they have not learned to fear a species that does not exist to them.

This place exists but you cannot reach it. It is believed to be the garden of Eden. Paradise on earth, where one can be at peace with nature.

There is a reason no one human can reach this sacred land. The guardian of Mother Nature's Challenge protects it with her life.

Ayo guards the treasure hidden within the forest. The fountain of youth.

Ayo is the youngest of mother nature's children and has protected this forest since her birth. Over time the guardian has allowed in some creatures. First birds and prey, then predators to keep balance. Now some humanoid species have been allowed in too.

Centaur herds can be found roaming the prairies and hunting. Mer swim the rivers and make conversation with the nymphs and dryads. Even a few arachnids walk the trees, watching in their silent boughs.

The importance is that there is peace here. No species fight or hunt without consent from Ayo. The forest is in perfect balance and the intelligent beings live in harmony.

There is one exception to the rule of no humans. A small tribe called the Islenda's. They are worshipers of mother nature and a demigoddess believed to have been born to her. They believe the forest to be sacred and have a close connection to the goddess so they have been allowed in.

It is a paradise that hides immortality from mankind, a forest that desires to remain untouched. If a human manages to stumble in, they are killed. Ayo will not let this secret leave.

That is, until now. Human technology had never been able to find this forest but by some mistake you had. How is up to you.

Perhaps (if modern) you are the sole survivor of a plane crash that landed here.

Perhaps you ran through miles of dead forest to escape from the law.

No matter what was in your past, you were here now. It was late at night but you could feel how peaceful it was. Something about this part of the forest felt different. Perhaps because it was alive.

In the distance you could see the light from a fire and the smoke rising from it. You couldn't hear the voices though. You could head towards the fire, and hopefully humans who lit it, or wander the forest in search of shelter.

What you do will determine if this is your paradise, or a form of hell on earth.
