Felix and Hyunjin walked to lunch, the tall blonde blabbing about how him and Jeongin had an actual conversation today. Felix listened yet his mind kept thinking about Chan.
Felix had already thought and planned how exactly he would be able to get away with tutoring the delinquent without getting in trouble with his parents.
His parents typically got home two hours after school let off, leaving him 120 minutes to spare before having to put on his good boy façade.
He could stay after school with Chan and tutor him in the library, but how would he get home? Did Chan have a car?
There was no way he could invite the boy over to his house. That would be way too risky. The thought of going to Chan's house to study instead seemed like a nice idea, but he was afraid of getting caught.
All the ideas that flooded his brain seemed risky. He really didn't think things through before accepting Mrs. Gwan's offer.
He was way too excited to pass up such a perfect opportunity though. It was like Mrs. Gwan handed Chan to Felix on a silver platter.
He could've always just asked his mom or dad if he could stay after to tutor the new kid, but he didn't have a phone to text them and ask.
He feared how his parents would react to him making such a request, but maybe he could convince them to allow him to tutor Chan.
Asking them though would also cause it's own handful of problems. They would ask to meet Chan and his parents before even considering on saying yes. A yes would be highly unlikely as well given how Chan presented himself. Felix knew his parents would probably try to label somebody like Chan as the spawn of Satan, something they've done to random strangers on the street before.
The blonde was currently at lunch with Hyunjin, thankful Jisung didn't share this lunch with them.
"So what were you and Mrs. Gwan talking about?" Hyunjin asked, finally done with his talk about Jeongin. Both boys got their food, sitting down to continue their conversation.
"She told me she wants me to tutor Chan!" Felix cheered out loudly.
"Well there you go! Now you don't have to plan on how to make Sir Emo your friend. You basically got spoon fed the easy way to it." Hyunjin laughed, chomping down his food.
Felix only smiled, taking a bite of his food as well. This was the best thing that could happen to him.
He was going to tutor Chan and hopefully becoming great friends with him as well.
Chan could help him break out of his shell. Maybe help him experience what it feels like to actually live. Felix was beyond excited.
Chan was so mysterious and cool, making Felix feel drawn to him, almost like a moth to a bright light.
There were so many questions Felix already had lined up for when he got the appropriate time to ask like 'how much did your eyebrow piercing hurt? or 'where do you buy your clothes?'
"I wonder what his voice sounds like!" Felix's curiosity burned more and more while thinking of the new kid.
"Probably hot." Hyunjin said in response.
"Do you think it's deep?" Felix giggled.
"Well I sure hope not because then we'd have another Felix on our hands." Hyunjin chuckled.
"What's that mean?!" Felix cried out loudly.
"Your voice totally does not match your face, Lixxie. You know I am not wrong." Felix only pouted, knowing Hyunjin was right.
"I mean it's not always that deep. Like right now it sounds pretty normal." Felix said in defense.
"It's definitely not always deep that's true, but when you're tired or irritated you drop like 20 octaves." The tall blonde spoke, taking sips out of his juice carton.
"Is that a bad thing?" Felix questioned, pushing his glasses up while peeling the orange on his tray.
"I mean given you nearly scared the shit out of me the first time I heard it... No?"
"You get scared by everything though. Even your own shadow." Felix shot back, pout on his face.
"You're not wrong." The tall blonde giggled before continuing, "I mean when you get used to it- it's actually pretty hot." Felix felt his cheeks flush, lightly slapping his friend in the shoulder.
"You're weird." Felix blushed, not used to hearing compliments, especially ones like that.
"Well it's true!" Hyunjin raised his hands in defense. Felix's giggling died down when he saw Chan walk past, knowing that now was his chance to talk to the boy about their tutoring sessions.
"Chan alert! Talk to you later!" Felix called out, grabbing his book bag and throwing his trash away.
"Love you!" Hyunjin called out.
"Love you too!" Felix shouted, ignoring the stares from other students. He scurried his way towards Chan who was just leaving the lunchroom.
"H-hey!" Felix called out to the figure that didn't stop walking. The blonde picked up his pace, basically jogging to reach Chan.
He tapped the broad shoulder of the male, causing him to take out his ear bud and look at the blonde. Felix felt nervous, afraid of making himself look any worse than he already has.
"S-so I wanted to talk to you about our tutoring and how we are going to plan things out." Felix nervously said, foot dragging on the hard floor.
"What about it?" Chan spoke, voice giving off a tone that sent a shiver through Felix's spine. This was the first time he heard the boy's voice, and he couldn't help but admire it.
"W-well we can study at the library or- maybe your house?" Felix suggested, taking a gamble at the mention of Chan's house. He was curious to see how the brunette lived, what his house looked like, and what his room looked like.
"We can do my house." Chan responded, eyes blank and lifeless.
"P-perfect!" Felix smiled, nibbling at his lips. "Do you drive?" The blonde asked nervously.
"Yes." Chan bluntly said, annoyance in his tone.
"Good. I'll meet you in the front of the school then at the end of the day." Felix smiled, Chan only nodding his head. The blonde waved himself off, feeling giddy about their tutoring session scheduled after school.
