Chapter 24: Max

The maids bring in the medical supplies and start hooking me up to them.

"When were you guys pros at medical stuff?" Camille asked. "We were like this even before we worked for your parents, even when they were sick or injured." Gregory said. "Good to know, but why wasn't I informed?" Camille asked. "Your parents told us not to tell you, and why do you think you never got sick?" Jackson added.

"Well, that explains a lot." Camille said.

"Alright, everyone leave the room so he could rest." Lance said. Everyone left the room and waited until I woke up, which only took 4 hours, making it late in the day.

"Ugh, my head feels horrible... wait, where am I?" I said to myself. "And why am I connected to this medical stuff?"

I disconnected myself from every piece of equipment and healed myself up. Suddenly the beeping sound of the heart monitor started to play very loud, so in a quick reaction... I broke it. I walk out the room and realized I was still in Camille's house instead of the hospital.

"You're finally awake." Alexander said as he was sitting in the living room with Sean. "Where's Tom and Camille?" I asked. "The love birds fell asleep, so Sean and I stayed here to wait for your, awakening." Alexander added. "Of course they are." I said.

"Well, I'm going to have a walk before the night comes." I said. "That's fine, just don't do anything I would do." Alexander said. "Can you pass by the store for a drink, I don't care what it is, as long as it's drinkable." Sean asked. "Sure."

I walked down the sidewalk with my hands in my pockets just thinking to myself. The sounds of crickets were heard as the sun began to set. All I could think of at the moment, was how does me getting powers then attacked everyday make sense.

I make it to the store and as I walk in, I got a weird sense of dread... something wasn't right.

"Listen here you stupid cashier, if you don't put all the money in the bag, I'll blast your brains out!" One of 2 burglars said, pointing a large rifle.

"You, put your hands up too!" The other burglar said as he pointed a twelve gauge shotgun at my head. "I'm not dealing with this bullshit." I said as I kept looking for Sean's drink.

"Do you want to die kid?!" The burglar said as he pressed the shotgun to my chin. With no response, I just looked at him with a blank face. He backed up and instead of shooting me, he tried to hit me with the gun. The hit only made me more pissed off so I took action into my own hands.

I grab him by his throat and lift him the air, almost strangling him. "Hey, let him go or I'll shoot you first!" The rifle burglar said.

"Shoot me and your buddy here dies along side you." I said. He doesn't listen and shot 7 gunshots at me, making me fall to the ground.

"Next time warn me you're going to fire." Shotgun burglar said. "Fine." Rifle burglar said.

Without them noticing, I began to stand up and healed up the wounds.

"I warned you... you'll die along side him." I said. "Pull." They get pulled towards me and I summoned two daggers, one for each heart. Once they got close to me, I stabbed them both, killing them in the process.

"I'll leave this mess to you, also can I have this drink for free?" I asked as if nothing happened. "Sure, go ahead." The cashier said, shocked. "Thanks!"

I walk out with Sean's drink and head back to Camille's place, some how feeling better, as if killing is good. As I walk back to the house, I noticed 11 shadow figures, each with glowing eyes looking back at me. A car passed by and suddenly they disappeared. I began to grow a bit paranoid because of it so I hurried back.

"Hello Max!" Aries said as he was standing on a streetlight. "What do you want, I don't want to fight you!" I said as I summoned my sword. "I'm not here to fight, I'm here to talk." He said as he jumped off the streetlight and landed infront of me.

"What is there to talk?" I asked. "We all noticed you are very powerful, and would like to ask you to join us." Aries said. "But I'm not a Taurus like... Taurus if that made any sense." I added. "Oh I understand what you mean, but we need someone as strong as you." Aries added.

"What's the catch?" I asked. "No catch, all you need to do... is kill your friends." Aries said. "I can't do that, and I'm not doing it to join your group." I said. "Fine then, you've chosen your fate." Aries said he summoned a scythe and pierced me through my chest. He lifted me up and launched me in the air then slammed me back to the ground.

As I was bleeding out, with lost strength, I couldn't move. "You did this to yourself Max, now you'll die here alone with no one to save you." Aries said as he walked away.

As Aries walked away, he didn't notice me suddenly stand up, but I was hunched over. Aries turned around and was surprised that I was still standing. "You don't know when to... wait a minute, this aura feels strong, and how are you standing, you're dead!" Aries said.

Aries could determine if a body is dead or alive just by looking at the body's heart and souls, including Aquarius, Capricorn and Scorpio.

I didn't feel dead, I felt alive. My eyes are shut, but I could still see. I felt, powerful.

"You... will die... just like Taurus did..." I said. "Wait Max, I was kidding, I didn't mean to hurt you, I didn't know you had the powers of... an Archdemon!" Aries said as he started to panic.

I suddenly healed up but fell to the ground. "Uhh, Max?" Aries said. I jump up with a gasp and looked for Sean's drink. "What happened, where's the drink?" I asked. "Wait, where's Aries?" I said to myself. Aries managed to leave before I jumped up.

I find Sean's drink and head back to house, not remembering that I stood up as a dead person. I only remembered Aries swing a scythe but then it went blank.

I arrive back at the house and gave Sean his drink.

"Thanks!" Sean said. "No problem." I said.

"What's with the blood in your hands?" Alexander pointed out. "Oh, uhh, I killed 2 guys." I said. "You what?!" Sean and Alexander said in sync. "Relax, they had guns and were robbing the store." I added. "Oh, nevermind." They said in sync.

"It's already night, so I'm sleeping in the guest room today." I said. "That's fine, we'll sleep in the living room." Sean said. "Alexander don't forget, he's touch deprived." I added. "I know." Alexander said. "Fuck you." Sean said towards me.

I enter the room and close the door behind me. "And now, I sleep." I said to myself and fall on top of the bed. "I should really call her, I haven't talked to her since Friday." I added.

As I slept, got another vision, this time it showed more events of the future.

It showed, The Zodiac Demons...
