Chapter 23: Hellish Weather

"That was a close one." I said.

A thunder bolt stucked near the house and that's when I got confused. "Tornados don't have lightning bolts." I said. "Wait a minute, you got a point." Alexander said as he began to catch up on what I noticed.

"Max, use your Mind Radar!" Tom said. "Mind Radar!" I said. I noticed 2 people outside in the storm. "Yup, this is a demon's doing." I added. "How many?" Alexander asked. "2 demons." I said.

Another lightning bolt hit the door, breaking it open. "Camille, get Elizabeth to your room and don't let her out, then come back!" Tom said. "Got it!" Camille said as she picked up Elizabeth.

"Hello there." A demon said as she walked in. "Who the hell are you?!" Alexander asked. "I'm sorry, I don't give my name to pathetic demons like you." The demon said.

"Pathetic you say." I said as I appeared from behind her. "Pretty clever, but you didn't see this coming." She said.

I didn't notice she had a small dagger pointed towards me so she instantly stabbed me and kicked me outside into the tornado. "Max?!" Everyone else said. Once I was pushed into the tornado, it launched me far into a house with a family of 4.

"Since that dagger is still inside him, I can send strong lightning shocks to drop him to the ground." She said. "While he fights him." She added with a snap of her fingers.

The tornado stopped and it revealed to be another demon. It sprinted towards me while I was still down.

"Aaaaahahahaaaa!!" The male demon said as it pounced on top of me. "Ohh, you'll do great in my head collection." He added.

"Push!" I said as I grabbed his face. The force didn't phase him. Even with his covered face, I could feel he was smiling. "Flaming Push!" I added. The demon quickly moved his head and got closer to me. "Not fast enough cutie." He said. "What the fuck!?" I said as I punched him off of me.

"What's the matter?" He said. "Don't call me a cutie, that was just weird." I said as I summoned my sword. "It's not weird if you don't make it weird." He added. "Just shut up!" I added as I bolted towards him.

"Flowing Wind." He said. It was a gust a wind that stopped me and threw me in to the second floor of the house. "Sharp Gusts!" He added as gusts of wind flew towards me.

I blocked one gust but couldn't move fast enough to block the second one so it hit my chest, making me cough blood. The demon quickly ran up towards me and swing his fist. I quickly countered it with my sword but he swung the second one right after. I grab it mid-swing and tore it off, spewing blood everywhere.

Alexander quickly rushed past the demon, distracting her for a moment.

"Where do you think you're going?" She said as she grabbed him by his shirt, throwing him back inside. "Dark Heart!" Alexander said.

She falls down on the ground with excruciating pain in her chest. "Dark Heart is a powerful move us Dark Demons have, but we have to be precise with it." Alexander added.

"Just... make it... stop..!" She said as she lied on the ground. "I'm not falling for that dumb trick, you'll die slowly and painfully just for calling us pathetic." Alexander said. "You're the real pathetic one here." He added as he went on one knee infront of her.

"Lightning Blast!" She said as she touched Alexander by his foot. To her surprise, including Tom and Camille's, it had no effect on Alexander.

"Ever since I was gone, I made an encounter with a demon that I fought and before we fought, he told me all the rankings of every single type of demon, and your type are nothing but weak demons." Alexander said as he pulled her head up by her hair.

"Thanks for the opening!" Tom said as he quickly sliced her neck off. Both Alexander and Tom fistbumped while Camille just looked at Alexander in shock. "Can you teach me some Dark Demon moves that you know?" Camille asked. "Sure."

"You little brat, that's my favorite arm!" He said. "Just shut up you fucking weirdo!" I said. He regenerated his arm back and bolted straight towards me. "Whirlwind!" He added as he spun towards me. I quickly moved out of the way and pointed my palm at him. "Pull!"

The force made him stop spinning and he was pulled back to my hand so I managed to grab his throat.

"Who told you we were here?" I asked. "Don't worry about it!" He said. "Tell me, or you're going to end up a burnt, dead corpse!" I added angrily.

I began to squeeze his throat, almost at strangling grip, trying to make him talk.

"What the hell are you 2?!" The father of the family said. "Get out of here, it's dangerous for all 4 of you!" I said.

Since the family distracted me, the demon was able to break free from my grip and kicked me outside. He managed to grab both kids and stab the parents. "If you don't let me kill you, then I'll kill these 2 kids right infront of you!" He said.

"Let them go, they have nothing to do with this!" I said as I stood up slowly. He laughed, "Then let me kill you!" He added.

"Fine." I said.

I slowly walked to him trying not give away an idea I just got. I stood infront of him and lock eyes with him. "Let them go." I demanded. He drops them and puts his hand on my chest.

"It will be quick." He said. "For what, my death... or yours." I said. "Huh?" He added. I tilt my head to the left and a blood spear hits the demon straight in-between his eyes, pushing him away from me. I quickly summon my sword and sliced his head off with blue flames burning his body and head.

As the ashes went away, I noticed the parents were bleeding out so I quickly healed them both up. "Thank you for protecting us." The mother said. "No problem." I said.

"Nice shot Alexander." I said. "It was for your head but I missed." Alexander said with sarcasm. "Very funny." I added.

"What about our house?" The father asked. I threw a fireball that instantly rebuilt their house good as new. "Nevermind." He added.

Alexander and I both walk to Tom and Camille while talking about the demons we just faced. We arrived back to the house Tom used his ability to rebuild the front entrance, but he was struggling for a bit.

"Uhh, Max, don't you feel the dagger that's on your side?" Camille pointed out. I look to my side and noticed the dagger still in me, so I rip it out. "Nope, I didn't feel it." I said. "What about the slash on your chest?" Tom asked. "Wow, I didn't even see that one." Alexander added.

"No, I only felt it once I was hit." I said. "But it's nothing." I added as I walk inside.

I suddenly collapsed to the ground...

"Max!!" Everyone said, including the butlers and maids.

Jackson checked my pulse and tried o listen to my heart. "He's out cold, he was probably hit in the heart, making him lose lots of blood." Jackson said.

"Hurry, carry him to the guest room!" Jackson demanded.

Harry, Gregory, Lance and Johnathan picked me up and carried me to the guest room's bed.

"Ladies, get the medical supplies!" Jackson added. Emma, Rose, Jenny and Tiffany went to search for the supplies while Kelly stayed in the room.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine, he's just passed out." Johnathan said.
