"Right here." Alexander said.

We both look at him as he walked out of the destroyed building, covered in blood and with a broken arm.

"Alexander!" I said. I rushed towards him and carried him towards Tom. "Can you heal him?" Tom asked. "I don't know, I'll try." I said.

I grabbed his broken arm and closed my eyes. I felt something, as if it was a soft feeling of hope.

"It's working!" Tom said.

I opened my eyes and saw Alexander's arm heal.

"Done." I said. "What the, how did you you do that?!" Alexander said as he woke up."

"Concentration I guess." I said. "But let's head back to Sean's place."

We all walked to Sean's place and the time showed as 4PM in my phone.

As we walked to Sean's place, I began to see my cold breath again. I look around, trying not to make it obvious that were being watched.

I look at Tom and notice he felt a sense of dread, and fear, as if he's being watched by another demon.

"Let's hurry, we're being watched." Tom said suddenly. "I noticed as well." I added.

Sean walked out of his house and appeared to be saying something, but we couldn't hear him. He swerved his hands around in the air and pointed above us.

"Move!" Alexander said. We all jump out of the way and see a demon crash land right where we were standing.

"Hello, Tom, I was informed that you had abilities, do you mind showing me?" The demon said, as it wore a long dark cloak. "What's your name, and why do you care if I have abilities or not?" Tom asked. "The name's Jackal, and us demons can't let anymore humans run around the surface with our demon abilities." Jackal responded.

"Even your little friend Sean over there has a demon thats hunting him, just because he knows and saw too much." Jackal said. "Speaking about that, the demon should arrive to him any minute now."

"Alexander, run towards Sean and protect him, now!!" I said. Alexander tried to run but then notice he was immobilized.

"Nice try, but I can't let that happen." Jackal said. "Blood Shards!" Alexander said as he shot out multiple shards towards Jackal.

The shards pierced Jackal's arm as he tried to block them. It was able to let Alexander make a run for it.

"Sean, get back inside!" Alexander said as he was headed towards Sean.

"Now it's just us against you." Tom said. "Is that supposed to intimidate me, I'm a Death Demon, I have all the abilities of any demon!" Jackal said.

Tom and I stayed frozen in fear...

As Jackal raised his hands, we were lifted in the air, not being able to use our abilities.

"Look familiar Max, this is a Mind Demon ability, but I know you won't use it because it's "unfair" when you fight future demons." Jackal said.

"Flame Uproar!" I said as blue flames were summoned out of my palm.

Jackal dropped us to the ground and Tom quickly ran to Jackal with his sword out. "Just leave us alone!" Tom yelled as he swung his sword towards the neck. As the sword strucked the neck, not even a cut was made, but the sword broke instead.

"Push." Jackal said. "What?" Tom said.

Suddenly, Tom was launched away from Jackal from an invisible source of force. "Tom!!" I said. "Mind Control!" I added.

Nothing happened...

"Why isn't it working?!" I said. "It's not going to affect me, because I already know how to counter it." Jackal said as he began to walk towards me.

"Pull." Jackal said as he raised his hand towards me.

I was pulled by the same force that pushed Tom, and I stopped as Jackal's hand grabbed me by my throat.

"Listen here Max, you tell Tom to fight me when he's stronger, and another thing, those children will be in your responsibility." Jackal said with his eyes glowing bright yellow. "Why are they going to be my responsibility?" I asked. "I've seen the future, they have a future planned, but that future will not be happy, they will all die, along with you." Jackal said.

"Why do you care about the kids?" I asked. "You'll need them to help you, but you'll die anyways with them." Jackal responded.

Jackal then teleports away, dropping me to the ground. Tom appears but its already too late.

(Jumping to Alexander and Sean)

"Sean, get back inside!" Alexander said.

Sean immediately runs inside and Alexander follows behind him.

"What's happening out there?" Sean asked. "A lot, but there's a demon looking for you, that's why I ran back." Alexander stated. "What?!" Sean said.

Before Sean could say anything else, a loud thud was heard from upstairs

"It's here." Alexander whispered. Sean pointed at the basement so the kids could hide down there. "There's food and water down there, and a TV, just stay in there and stay quiet." Sean whispered.

Footsteps were heard as both Sean and Alexander were nervous, not knowing where it will appear. Suddenly, a dark circle appeared on the wall and Sean got close to it. Alexander followed behind.

"What is it?" Sean asked. "I don't know, but it doesn't look normal." Alexander said.

An arm appeared and grabbed Sean by his face and out came the demon that was looking for him.

"Let him go!" Alexander said as he summoned his sword and swung at its arm. The sword shatters but then Alexander summons his blood blades from his forearm and swung at it again.

"Dark Deception!" The demon said. "My name is The Shadowman, and I'm here for you Sean." The Shadowman said.

"What do you want from me, I don't have demonic abilities!?" Sean said while trying to break free from its grasp.

"I was instructed to get you, and your sister." The Shadowman said.

Alexander could tell that Sean's bloodlust was going on a rampage. "Not one hand on my sister..." Sean said, with his voice calm, and murderous. "And what will you do, you're just a human." The Shadowman said.

Sean quickly wrapped his legs on the Shadowman's arm and dropping him to the ground. "Don't test me..." Sean said. Sean pinned him down while looking psychotic.

The Shadowman faded into the ground and out the hole again. "I'll be back." It added as it disappeared.

"Sean, are you good?" Alexander asked. Sean looked at Alexander and Alexander backed away from Sean.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Sean said. "It's fine, let's check on the others." Alexander added.

They head outside and see Tom and I, so they rushed towards us.

"Where's the demon?" Sean asked. "It left, what about the other one?" I said. "It left too." Alexander added.

"There's no time for breaks, we need to get stronger before we fight them again." I said. "Sean, stay here, we can't risk losing you." I added. "It's fine, I'll stay here." Sean said.

With the information I got from Jackal, I knew I shouldn't tell anyone, not even Sean. I have to keep it a secret, and try my best to overcome that future he saw, no matter the cost.
