Forsaken by my alarm clock,
I was late!
I showered in record time,
Opting not to shampoo.
Lotion slapped on,
Deodorant applied,
Teeth brushed,
Lips glossed,
Hair in a ponytail,
Sneakers and backpack grabbed,
I hurried toward the kitchen.
Soon, travel mug of latte,
Granola bar, keys and backpack in hand,
I slipped into my car.
Eleven minutes later,
I walked into class,
Drawing stares and gasps from classmates.
Looking down,
I too gasped.
I knew I had forgotten something!
