The housekeeper approached them, bringing the wine. They were both very flushed and distracted, but Lan Xichen managed to tell her that they would have lunch and dinner in their room, and asked her to keep the fire going. He was guessing that Jiang Cheng would still prefer to be warm.

After she left, they sat in silence for quite some time. In the end, Lan Xichen said, frowning a little:

- Jiang Cheng, you must tell me if you... If it is unpleasant for you... If you don't want me to touch you... like this... - his voice broke, and he felt breathless again for some reason.

- Zewu- Jun, this is the best day in my life... - Jiang Wanyin murmured gently.

They looked at each other shyly. Jiang Cheng smiled and poured wine in two cups, giving one to his husband.

- To luck! – he said.

- To love!  –  Lan Xichen said, clinking the cups together.

Sandu Shengshou blushed – he had never hoped for love at all, even in his wildest dreams.

He kept on blushing when, later, Lan Huan took his hand and led the way back to the bedroom.

His heart was fluttering in his chest as he thought that his husband would claim him, finally, but Zewu-Jun helped him to bed, and just placed himself by his side, saying:

- I think it's high time I got to know my husband better. – he smiled. – Tell me about yourself.

Jiang Cheng blushed and looked up at him, not daring to breathe, lest the magic be broken. He realized that he really loved it when Lan Xichen called him "husband".

- Ask anything... - he said shyly. – I am yours, you can ask anything from me...

He dared not look at him, so he did not see how pale Lan Xichen suddenly went. But he felt him lean over him and whisper:

- Please, don't say that... You are nobody's property... We are equals, and always will be. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jiang Cheng swallowed hard and nodded, looking into his eyes with adoration. He murmured:

- Thank you... But sometimes I feel that belonging to someone would be... nice.

- I guess... - Lan Huan said dreamily. – But when people get married, they belong to each other. They belong together... This is how it should be.

- Then... husband... - Jiang Cheng whispered shakily. – I want to ask you for... another kiss... as I can't stop thinking about... your lips...

- Wanyin...

Lan Xichen caressed his face gently and got on top of him, letting his hair fall down over his shoulders. This time Jiang Cheng wrapped his arms around him too, and pulled him in closer, enjoying his weight on his body.

- Lan Huan, are you a dream...? – he whispered, looking up with eyes full of wonder.

- Why don't I show you?

They kissed slowly and deeply, opening their mouths more and more, tasting each other, shivering, weak. Their embrace got tighter and tighter, until in the end Jiang Cheng felt as if he was wrapped in a hot and airless cocoon that contained just the two of them, but it felt so good that he wouldn't change a thing, not one.

He wished Lan Xichen would be bolder and kiss some more – he could not get the feeling of his velvet lips on his neck out of his head – but he was clearly restraining himself, kissing just his mouth.

After they broke the kiss, both panted, laughing a little, staring at each other as if they were meeting for the first time just now, today.
