You chase it, you find it and try to keep it all,
The only want is fame for big and for small,
But difficult is the baggage that comes along,
Of making sure you're consistent so your position isn't gone.
That's the thing about fame you see
At once brings you more than you need,
Then on your own leaves you to be.
From ordinary to a somebody
All fashion and attention and wanted,
Then from a somebody to a nobody
Alone and lonely and daunted.
Famous ain't no measure of how happy you are,
Only seems so pleasurable when watched from afar.
The same people so insidious,
When you're no more famous!
The fame trap today is a bit too vast,
Off the blind your eyes you must cast,
And ask-
How long does fame last?
