I am a girl

I like my things to be purple and pink

Rarely do I say no to shopping

I rock it in my 4 inch heels

With criticism everywhere I have to deal

Yes, I cry but

Not for sympathy

I am a girl

And I'm proud of my anatomy

For my parts on being kicked,

Don't make me cry like baby

From quirky and talkative and impulsive

To alluring and hypnotic and sensitive

Someone to believe on,

To be held on to I seek

I like to be protected

Without being portrayed weak

I am a girl

And I ought to be

Take me as I am

Or leave me to be.
