I remember

I remember that look on your face

Rage crippled down every nerve

How belligerent you were but

I let it go and

I remember the tactile scare

That my body felt when

You grabbed my arm,

Your fingers digging deep into

My fleshy skin and how I squirmed

That made a few holes on

My crochet jacket come undone and

I remember the look on your face

When you let go of my arm and your eyes

Were a red sea with a few waves of regret

When you saw finger prints on my smooth skin

And I remember how I brushed it off saying

" It's nothing, I easily bruise. "
