Her mind

57 11 4

They would lock her down

In some dark dungeon

But her mind would imagine

Flowers and bright days

They would chain her up

So she could hardly move

But her mind would wander

As she'd pray

They would ship her away

To some far away land

But her mind would

Somehow manage to stay

They would mess with her head

With all they had

But her memories would

Keep her sane.

Caged her body and cornered her soul

On her mind, they had no control

Vengeance, conniption did them no good

Still, calm and composed she stood

That mind of hers they couldn't slay

Her mind made them give away.
