In me a great friend he could see.
I smiled a little and returned his words,
Suppressing the feeling of little birds.
If only he knew.
Kept me up all night,
Said he wanted to chat.
My heart swelled a bit more,
If only he noticed that.
With every little touch,
Gave me butterflies in my stomach.
Him giving me a simple complement made my day,
He meant so much , I couldn't say.
If only he knew.
If only he knew his effect on me,
How the slightest brush of his shoulders made me dizzy,
How his cologne drove me crazy.
If only he knew.
Casually said that he loves me.
I said I do love him and care.
If only he realized how I meant that.
How him with none I could share.
How I had said 'I love you' to very few.
If only he knew.
