Mundane being

40 10 4

You liked him when for your dates he paid

And bought you hearts and flowers

I liked him when he was carefree

And talked about his sisters

You liked it when his eyes with lust

Shined as bright as glitter

I liked it when his eyes were vulnerable

While he showed me all his blisters

You had seen him with his hair all gelled,

Some gracefully on his forehead falling loose

I'd seen him with his shirt tucked out,

A hole in his pants and two in his shoes

I couldn't help but

Fall for his mundane being, but

You were adamant you liked him better

Little did you see what I did,

You'd know that the former was

For the world to see and

He truly was the latter.
