George's POV
I was just starting to trust Dream. I was finally starting to let go and be comfortable leaving Dream alone. Now, because of this asshole, I'm never leaving him alone again.Dream sobbed in my arms. He still blamed himself.
"It's okay. I get it. I mean I don't, but I couldn't even imagine." I said. What do people say in these situations?
"He's always rough. I don't know why." Dream said."Did you go to the police?" I asked.
"With what?" He asked.
"The rape." I responded.
"I have no proof." Dream said.
"What do you mean? He... finished right?" I asked, shifting the energy.
"Yes, in a napkin." Dream said. I sighed."Do you hate me?" Dream asked.
"No. You did okay. I just wish we could go to the police." I said. Dream rolled off the bed and checked his phone then sighed."What?" I asked.
"I forgot I have practice today." Dream said and started getting ready. I put my hands on his shoulders, stopping him.
"You shouldn't go to practice. You're obviously hurt." I said.
"I don't care. I don't want to think about it." Dream said and charged past me.I sighed and grabbed my jacket. He looked at me and smiled.
"Thank you." He said and I nodded, heading out to his car with him.We got to the field. Bad went with Skeppy as usual. I sat down next to Bad, he smiled at me.
"Hey, haven't seen you in forever." Bad said.
"Yeah, I've been with Dream." I said.
"We know." Bad said, referring to the moaning sounds me and Dream send their way.
"Sorry." I said.Bad sipped his drink he had then turned to me with a concerned expression.
"You aren't getting clingy are you?" Bad asked.
"What? Why?" I asked.
"It's just... you tend to get clingy in relationships. Remember your last one." Bad asked.I may or may not have stayed in a partner's room without them knowing to catch them cheating. I was always right about them.
"I guess you're right. Dream doesn't care though." I said and smiled slightly.
"Well, maybe he's the right amount of crazy for you." Bad joked.Dream finished practice and came to get me from the stands.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Everything hurts and I feel amazing." Dream said. Skeppy rolled his eyes.
"You're insane." Skeppy said and shook his head, kissing Bad.The other two left and me and Dream followed.
"Dream?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
"Am I clingy?" I asked. Dream laughed a bit.
"Yeah. It's cute." Dream said. I blushed."You can always tell me to back off. I'll listen." I said. Dream stopped walking and hugged me. I was shocked and slowly hugged him back.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"No." He said.
"Let's go to the car." I said and motioned him forward. We got to the car, he sat in the drivers seat and looked forward with a broken emotion.
I waved in front of his face and he finally looked at me.
"Are you okay?" I asked again.
"It's just hitting me." He said. There was a long moment until Dream looked at himself in the mirror with a scared expression. I rested my head on his shoulder.
"I'm a mess." Dream said and started crying. I hugged him.
"No you're not." I said. He started crying again."Let's go get a tea. I'm proud of you for sticking through practice." I said. Dream smiled briefly then it faded.
"It's fine. I just want to go to bed." He said.
"Are you sure? A warm cup of tea may help you out more than you think." I said. He sighed.
"Fine if you want to waste your money." He said and started the car.I put my hand on his and stopped him.
"Let me drive." I said. Dream nodded then got out, I moved over and adjusted the seat.
He got in the passenger seat and I took one last look at him. Every time I looked at him, I noticed more marks and bruises. I didn't want to think about what happened to him, but I wanted to know.I drove to the cafe and ordered us some tea. We sat in the car to drink it. He smiled after the first sip.
"See. Better right?" I said. He laughed.
"It is." He said. I leaned back.
"I hate to ask but... do you want to talk about it?" I asked. Dream closed his eyes tight."He hit me every chance he could. I was unconscious for some of it I think. I can't even feel my back anymore." Dream said. I felt anger. I wanted to kill that fucker. I wanted to make sure Dream was okay. Forever.
"I can take care of you." I said. Dream laughed.
"I don't do care." Dream said.
"Well I do and you can't stop me." I said and started the car.
"What are you gonna do?" Dream asked.
"First, change your bandages. Then tuck you into bed. Then I'll guard the door and window so that you can be safe and secure for the night." I said and started driving."What about you?" Dream asked.
"I'm okay." I said.
"Not without sleep." Dream protested.
"Make me." I said.
"I will." Dream promised. When we got home, I closed the door and Dream immediately wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into his bed.
"Dream, let me go." I said. Dream smiled.
"You gonna sleep?" He asked.
"No, I'm gonna protect you." I said. Dream laughed and cuddled against me like I was a human body pillow."Go to sleep." He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I said so." He said.
"And why would I listen?" I asked.
"Because it would make me happy." He said. I sighed and cuddled up to him.
"I'm going to sleep." I said and Dream smiled.
"Good, I love you. Stop worrying so much." Dream said.
"I love you too. And no." I responded.
