Dream's POV
It was time. My job was to stand on George's arm and wave to the crowd. Then I can sit and watch George officially become the ruler of England. There was a time where this would have sounded crazy, but I've come to love this reality.

I gathered my group of misfits in the front row.
"My brother's in charge of my mom because she's throwing up everything. Everyone else have their speech prepared?" I asked. Everyone nodded.
"Alright then, I'll go get the Queen and she if she's ready to start." I said.

I ran to the Queen's room and didn't see her, then I walked in and saw her staring at herself in the mirror.
"Your majesty? Are you ready?" I asked. The Queen took a breath.
"How do you do it?" She asked.

"How do I what?" I asked.
"Your mother she..." the Queen trailed off and stood up. She turned to me and looked me in the eye.
"I'm ready. Just know that I still disagree with George's decisions." She said.
"Okay? Anything else?" I asked.

"Is your mother gonna be there?" She asked.
"No, she's detoxing at the moment with my brother." I said. The Queen sighed.
"I'm ready." She said and I helped her set up.

Once everything was ready, I knocked on George's door.
"Come in!" He yelled and I did. He adjusted himself in the mirror as a few professionals touched up his hair and prepped him.
"They are all ready for you my king." I said and George looked at me and smiled, his eyes sparkled.

"It should be you." George said.
"What?" I asked.
"All this is because of you Dream. I love you." George said and kissed my hand.
"How does your coronation have anything to do with me?" I asked.

"I never wanted to be king. I was gonna run away to America. Then I thought about you, and how I need to protect you. This is the best way I can think to do that." George said. I kissed him and George pulled back smiling proudly.

"Shall we?" George asked and held out his arm. I took it held his hand instead.
"Let's do this." I said and we both looked at each other and took a breath.
We entered the hall and everyone stood up to look at us.

We waved at them with our best smiles.
"I hope the makeup team did a good enough job covering the marks." George whispered.
"Just say they're from me, no one will ask." I joked. He laughed.
"Only you." George said as I let him go and took my seat.

I sat next to Skeppy and he held my hand and looked over at Bad. I squeezed his hand.
"Dude, it's okay. Bad loves you right?" I asked Skeppy.
"He said that." Skeppy said and sighed.
"It'll happen." I said and rubbed his hand.
"Doesn't feel like it." Skeppy said.

I turned my attention back to George. He stood in front of his mother and she blessed him, then gave George his crown. I never realized how nice George looked in a hat, let alone a crown.
He got a cape put on him and they handed him two expensive looking objects that I couldn't name.
"Long live the king!" The Queen yelled. The audience echoed it back.

George put down the cape and objects. He stepped up to the microphone.
"I didn't want to be King. Then I met the love of my life." George started at looked at me.
"He taught me that people need to be protected by the others around them. I never had many others around growing up. My best friend, I've only known for a few years is the longest lasting relationship I have that's good." George said and looked at Bad. Bad smiled and nodded at him.

"And I know he will probably kill me for saying this, but he was lucky enough to find someone too. They aren't on the best of terms right now, but I hope they realize they need each other." George said and looked at Skeppy. Skeppy looked at Bad with shock and Bad turned away.

"Anyways. Having people actually surrounding me told me more has to change, and I would be happy to get my hands dirty." George said and sat in his throne as the crowd applauded. His eyes met mine when he sat down and he winked at me. My heart melted, and I felt safe.

The Queen started the speeches.
"George, you are my son. And I always wanted you to grow as an individual because I never had the chance to. I thought that made you broken. When you came to me and said you wanted to marry Dream, I panicked. Moving forward I would love to work on apologizing for trying to fix you. You're obviously a good king, maybe even better than your father." The Queen said. George wiped his eyes and gave her a hug.

It was my turn. Shit. I hate public speaking. It's fine.
"Hello, I'm Dream." I started and took a breath.
"George already knows how I feel about him. So I want to share some of that with the community. I fully intend to endorse myself in the charitable wife role in this marriage. I want to help George be able to look at this place fifteen years from now like I looked at it when I first got here. There's a beauty to England, and it isn't just George." I said and looked at George. I thought I did bad but George was grinning from ear to ear.

Bad approached the mic and waved, it looked like he was about to cry.
"I was gonna say things about how George is a go getter and a great guy, but he made me realize." Bad said and threw his papers back in his coat.
"I'm always gonna cause a scene okay. I'm not gonna stop being me. But I promise you'll never get bored of me. I just wish you would tell me how you feel instead of expecting me to know." Bad said and looked at Skeppy.
"I'm sorry." Bad said and ran off.
