Chapter 6 - Aptitude Tests

~Aptitude test day~

Candy's POV

I have barely sleep a hour last night. I'm so nervous about the tests. Even if my mother have already told me how the test is. I know that both she and my father want me and London to get Erudite results. But I am going to take the test seriously, not just doing decisions that makes me get Erudite.
I remember what I told Rose when we walked home yesterday. When she was worried about what faction she would belong in. I told her to trust in the test. Now I only wish that I could do the same.
A knock at the door wakes me up from my thoughts. I see my sister walking in to my room. "Candy" she whispers. "Are you awake?" "Yes" "Can I come and sleep here?" She asks sounding embarrashed. I nod. "Of course you can. But what is it?" "I am nervous about my test result. What if it's not Erudite?" Now she sounds really worried. I can't belive she's worrying about that. "You are a perfect Erudite" I tell her. We keep talking the rest of the night about the Aptitude Test and the Choosing Seremony.
At 7.00am our mother comes and wiches us good luck. Then she and dad start driving to their jobs. I'm not surprised. They are always at work. I wonder when they actually had time to us. Guess the answer is..never.
After our parents left we get up. London asks if we could wear equal clothes. I nod, thinking that it would be fun. When we have changed I look into the mirror. Now we look exactly same. Both wearing blue jeans and blue lacetops with black boots. We even do our hair at the same way.
I decide to skip breakfast today. I just aren't able to eat anything. And London are feeling the same way. I'm not surprised about that. I mean, we are twins after all aren't we?
We walk to school together and in the halfways we meet Lauren. She tells us that Rose is already at school. I guess that she went there to get time to relax before testing. I mean that she was really nervous yesterday so... Lauren again seems to be everything but nervous. And why wouldn't she? She are exactly like London. They both are true Erudite material.
When we arrive school we go straight to 'our' table. A few minutes later Rose joins us. We talk about the test and faction choosing until all the lower grades have left for their lessons. Oh soon it's time. I can feel my hands are sweatty. I feel London taking my hand. Gratefully I hold her hand and hope. Hope that the test will assure the fact that I belong in Dauntless.

It has been two hours now since the first ones went into testing rooms. All Dauntless and Candor have leave. Nearly every Erudite too. Including London and Lauren.
Suddenly I hear a voice interrupting my thoughts. Next Alex Waters, Jonas Chaston, Ulle Pevas, Aimee Rène, Rosamarie Michell and Candy Steiner. I realize that it's me and Rose! Slowly I rice up from my seat and start walking towards the testing room while I smile at Rose. Just before I reach the door I hear a low voice say "Good luck!".
I stand in the test room. Every wall is made of mirror glass. There are two things in the room. A table with a computer on it. And a chair that I am supposed to sit on. Behind the table I can see a Dauntless woman. She has long blue hair and black clothes. She looks a bit like Tresia.
"Hi!" She says. "I'm Tanya and I will be doing your aptitude test today. Please sit down and drink this." I sit on the chair and take the glass. Thanks to my mother I know exactly what it is. I don't want to drink it but I have no choise. I take one deap breath. Then I bring the glass on my lips. After I have drunk it all I start counting 6...5.....4.....3.... then everything turns black.

I'm sitting in the Aptitude Test room. The table has gone. I stand up and walk to the mirror. When I look back the chair has disappeared. I look back to the mirror. But now there are two tables between me and the wall. On the first table I see a big delicious piece of a cheese. On the other table I see the biggest knife I've ever seen. I hear a voice saying "Choose". I look around but see no one. Maybe it was just in my head. But then I hear the voice again, saying the same thing: "Choose". Quickly I pick both the cheese and the knife.
It was in last minute becose immediately after my picking the both tables disappear. Now theres a big, bloodthirsty dog in front of me. I have no idea what to do. But then I remember what they told me on biology lession. So instead of getting afraid I begin to slowly, with closed eyes, reach my hand out to cuddle the dog. And when I open my eyes I see that the angry dog has turned to a cute little puppy.
But then something happens again. A little girl appears to the other side of the room. She seems to be facinated about the dog. I smile at her...as I see that it's no puppy anymore. A huge dog is running against the girl. I know that if it reaches the girl it will harm her. So I start running towards the dog. When I reach it I stab it with my knife. And then everything turns black.
Now I'm in a bus. Wait! Mother didn't tell me about this! What is happening?
I see a weak, old man standing in front of me. He asks if he could get my seat. I say no. Why did he ask me? I'm not Abnegation.
As I try to forget the man I hear a voice again, this time showing me a book as he asks "Have you read this? If you have you can help me. Save me." I know that I have. But I also have a feeling that if I saying yes would harm me. "No" I answer. Then everything turns black...again.

I wake up in the chair at Test room. I see that the Dauntless woman, Tanya, are looking confused. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Nothing. You can go." She says to me. "But what was my test result?" "Dauntless" she answers. "And Erudite" " But how can I have two results?" "Some people have. They are called...Divergent. But never tell it to anyone. If you tell, you will end up killed. So...what are you going to choose?" "Dauntless" I say whitout any uncertainity. "Okay, then that will be your official test result. But I have to warn you. In Dauntless initation you will have to deal with fear serum. And people like you can control their fear simulations. You must learn to hide that if you choose Dauntless. Are you still chore about your choise?" "YES!!" "Okay then. But you have been warned. When your at Dauntless, come and look after me at Tanya's Clothes. Okay?" "Okay"
With a smile on my face I leave the room. Divergent. Erudite and Dauntless? No, it's not a question anymore. Because I just made the solution.

Hi reader! So this was a really long chapter, over 1200 words!! Sorry about that, I just had so mutch to write about. Now.. the guestions are follow:
1) Will Candy and London talk about their results? Or Candy and Rose?
2) Will Candy's parents know about the results? How will they act?

And once again.. what do you think about chapter's lenght?
