Chapter 21: Restored

Jungkook spent the rest of that week as well as the next few with only Taehyung. He focused all his time and energy into making his husband happy. Even though Tae had forgiven him multiple times and expressed it clearly, Jungkook felt guilty. He was the first one that was there for him when Tae's grandmother passed. He comforted and held him closely because he couldn't make it to see her off. Jungkook helped him get through his emotional distress and was one of the only factors that kept Tae going.

After the previous incident of Taehyung's drunken misery, Jungkook felt like the blame was to be put on himself. He should've remembered the date and should've been there for Taehyung. The party distracted him and he didn't even notice the date. Jungkook however promised Taehyung to never forget again and to always be there to help him. He'd even went as far as to give Taehyung sexual pleasures every night. Taehyung expressed his uncertainty and was rightfully concerned for jungkook's mentality.

His husband still continued to insist and deem it necessary to help Taehyung cheer up. So the older male just gave in and agreed to jungkook's ideas. Jungkook would ride Taehyung every night until the older male was relieved, then he'd repeat the process again in the morning. It became an odd routine between them that soon blended into being a normal everyday thing.

Today though, it was different. Jungkook wasn't rushing to get Taehyung out of his clothes and air on his lap. He also wasn't being super affectionate as Taehyung was expecting. It worried the older male as this had been the routine for a couple of weeks. He woke up to an empty bed to find Jungkook's shoes and coat missing. Taehyung had asked around but no one had seen Jungkook that morning. He was worried as he tried to call his husband only to find he'd left his phone on the nightstand.

Later that evening, Jungkook walked through the front door to a group of upset men. All of them frustrated as the man has seemingly disappeared for nearly the entirety of the day. Taehyung was so angry to the point that he was crying while yelling at his husband. The other five men had left them to talk as Jungkook quietly hugged Taehyung. "Jungkook..what's going on?" He asked his husband quietly, sniffling into the males shoulder.

"Taehyung..I didn't mean to leave suddenly. I'm sorry I forgot to grab my phone." He said as he sighed. "I've been stuck in traffic all day trying to get some things." He held his husband in his arms, holding the sniffling male who'd usually be holding him instead. "You left without saying anything.." Tae mumbled out against jungkook's shirt. "Tae..I'm sorry I was buying things for you. As a surprise." He said as he held him.

Taehyung looked up to Jungkook after hearing his words. "You bought me stuff?" He asked quietly. "What for?" "The day we first met..was today." Jungkook replied as Taehyung's eyes widened. He had no idea, he was even surprised that Jungkook knew that. "I wanted to buy you gifts to celebrate the years we've known each other, I bought some stuff for the others as well." He continued. Taehyung only listening quietly. "I wanted to show you all but especially you that I pay attention and I do truly love you." He said as Taehyung slowly stood up straight, after Jungkook paused he leaned in to kiss him.

"You didn't have to do this kookie.." he muttered out as the male shook his head and hummed. "I wanted to, because I love you." He said as he kissed Tae's lips gently. The two of them sharing a passionate kiss. Taehyung pulled back to grab jungkook's hand. "I should make it up to you.." he said as he pulled Jungkook towards the stairs. The younger catching on to his words before nodding.
