After Taehyung and Jungkook made up it still felt a little rocky. They weren't as in sync anymore as they were prior to the incident. Taehyung kept trying to reassure Jungkook that he was forgiven. While on the other hand Jungkook still felt bad and wanted to do everything Taehyung wanted. Even if that meant sacrificing time.
Taehyung tried his best to convince Jungkook that the showering with love and gifts weren't necessary. It was like he couldn't think for himself anymore, agreeing with everything Tae said and doing anything he asked. Jungkook thought he was doing a good job of avoiding conflict, trying to keep Taehyung happy. Though the older male was starting to get annoyed at the routine. Especially with them being out of sync and no longer feeling as happy as the newlyweds should've.
It had gotten bad to the point where their fans noticed that their chemistry was off. Some fans even taking to social media to point it out, which didn't help their situation. Jungkook had seen comments about them and how distant they seemed to be when the cameras were turned on. He was bothered by it but didn't know how to bring it up to his husband. Taehyung on the other hand didn't mind the comments. They were true, so why be upset? Is what he personally thought.
Taehyung was downstairs on his phone as he sat on the couch next to Jimin and Namjoon. He hummed as he played his game happily, a soft smile on his face. He was concentrated and barely listening to Jimin talking about how badly he wanted silver hair back. He heard the stairs creak as Jungkook walked down but he didn't check to see who it was. Jungkook sat down next to Tae as he smiled a bit, "Hey." He said softly. Taehyung completed the level on the game as he looked at Jungkook briefly. "Hey baby." He said quietly as he focused on his game again.
Jungkook was a little annoyed that Taehyung wasn't really paying him any attention but he brushed it off. "So I was thinking..why don't we..have a little dinner date tonight. I talked to Jin and he agreed to cook us something nice." He said as he smiled and looked at Taehyung. "What do you think?" He asked softly. Taehyung hummed, "Sounds good." He muttered out. It was clear that he wasn't listening at all, all attention on completing the current level of his game. "Tae?" His husband called out, though Taehyung didn't respond.
Jungkook tried a different strategy, gently pushing his face into Tae's view as he smiled. "Earth to Tae!" He said with a soft giggle as Taehyung groaned. He gently pushed Jungkook out of the way, "Stop babe." He said in a harsh tone as he returned to his game. Jimin and Namjoon noticed but they didn't say anything, sharing a look of worry as they kept quiet. Jungkook felt hurt by this as he bit his lip a little, biting back a tear. "Tae..can you just talk to me for a minute?" He asked softly as Taehyung shook his head, "Babe not now." He said as he sighed.
Jungkook sighed as he slowly nodded and decided to gently lay his head on Taehyung's chest. The older male however moved away from his touch when Jungkook laid back. Jungkook looked at Taehyung with a frown before trying again, making Taehyung snap. "Will you fucking stop?! You just made me die!" He yelled out loudly as Namjoon sighed. "Tae lighten up." He said as Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's phone and threw it at the wall. "Fuck your game!" He shouted as he ran up the stairs crying. "Are you fucking serious?!" Taehyung shouted as he ran over to pick up his broken phone.
Jimin slowly stood as he frowned a bit, "Tae...that was uncalled for. He was trying to do something nice for you and you gave him the cold shoulder." He said as he crossed his arms. "Don't talk to me like you have all the answers. Didn't you cheat on Yoongi like 4 times?" He said in a harsher tone than he used with Jungkook. Jimin felt hurt but he held it in, "I get that you're upset..but fuck you." He said calmly as he let out a breath of frustration, walking out the front door and slamming it shut. Namjoon just stood up and walked towards the stairs. "He's right and you know it." He said before walking up to his shared room with Jin.
Jungkook was in Namjoon's room balling his eyes out on Jin's bed. The elder was holding him in his arms as he gently tried to shush him. "It's okay Kookie..you know how he gets with his games. I'm sure he didn't mean anything he said." He said softly as he held him. Jungkook sobbed into Jin's shirt as he held on to him, before pulling back. "H-he ignored me when I tried to tell him about my plan..then he screamed at me for trying to lay on him." He said through many sobs. Namjoon slowly walked into the room, shutting the door behind him. He looked at Jin, the male shaking his head as Jungkook sobbed into his shirt. Namjoon nodding and walking quietly over to his bed, putting on his headphones. He knew that this wasn't the time to give his input, letting his husband console the younger.
Taehyung was still downstairs picking up the shattered pieces of his phone screen off of the floor. Jungkook had really put all his strength into that throw, a small dent in the wall from the impact. Tae grumbled as he tossed the broken pieces in the trash and grabbed his phone. It was too shattered to use, meaning he was going to have to buy a new phone. He walked upstairs after twenty minutes or so of cleaning.
Taehyung walked into his and jungkook's room, expecting to hear him in there. He hummed as he noticed the quiet room, flicking the light on to see since the blinds were shut. Jungkook was now in the bed underneath the covers, he was still awake. He heard Tae enter but didn't address him as he stayed still under the covers. "So you're not going to apologizing for fucking up my phone?" He voiced out with no response, closing the door behind himself. "I don't know what's gotten into you Jungkook but I don't like whatever it is." He said as Jungkook laid their quietly, trying not to cry again. "You've been all over me lately and it drives me fucking nuts. I said I forgave you, and now you go and break my phone? Who does that?" He continued to add on as he took off his hoodie, now being shirtless.
Taehyung walked over to Jungkook and threw the covers off. "Do you hear me talking to you?" He asked as he saw jungkook's red puffy eyes. His expression immediately softened as he looked down at his teary-eyed husband. "I-Im sorry. I-I just wanted to do something nice for you. I got upset because you ignored me and pushed me away." Jungkook said as he looked down and sniffled. "I-I'm a bad husband and I'm sorry." He said as Tae instantly felt bad. "Baby...I'm so sorry for making you feel that way." He said as he frowned a bit. "How can I make it up to you?" He asked softly as he gently rubbed jungkook's cheek. "Hold me.." he whispered out as his voice cracked. Taehyung crawled into the bed and pulled Jungkook closely as he sighed. "I'm sorry baby..I really am. I let my emotions get the better of me.." he whispered against his husbands neck. Jungkook quietly whined as he leaned into Tae's warmth. "I promise you I'll work on it baby..I promise. Now..what did you want to do today?" He said lowly as he held Jungkook. "I want..I wanted to have a dinner date. Jin..was going to cook us our favorite foods." He muttered out as he sniffled again. "I would love that..I'm so sorry baby." Taehyung apologized again as he kissed the back of his neck. "No..I'm sorry for interrupting your game..and throwing your phone." Jungkook replied as he turned around to face Taehyung. "Fuck the game babe, I should've never yelled at you for that. Really..I'll never do that again." He said as he gently pecked jungkook's lips.
The two held on to each other as they both held their tears in. Taehyung felt like the worst husband in the world for treating Jungkook like shit. Though he was glad that Jungkook was okay, not wanting the male to get any ideas. He just held onto his baby like the world was ending, holding him tightly. Jungkook enjoyed the warmth as he wiped his eyes and snuggled into Taehyung. He knew that he didn't mean anything he said downstairs but his emotions led him on a roller coaster.
The next couple of months went by smoothly as they improved their emotional and physical relationships with each other. The two started a tradition of having a dinner date every Friday, even if it was as simple as going to the gym. They loved each other without a doubt and nothing came in between them again for the time being.
