Bruce sat in his spot in the giant classroom. It was 7 in the morning and he got no sleep last night. His roommate wouldn't stop yelling at his girlfriend and hitting the wall. Bruce tried telling him to be quiet but he wouldn't listen. Bruce sighs and took a sip of his coffee. He would have had time to make something better but it was 6:30 by the time he got up. He only had 20 minutes to get ready for this class and exam. Bruce yawned, closing his eyes for a couple minutes. He almost fell asleep until he felt someone heavily sit down next to him with a groan. Bruce looked up and saw a man that looked a bit shorter then him with a goatee and fancy sunglasses. The man set a coffee and a can of monster on his desk beside his bag. He moved the bag to the floor, toon his sunglasses off, throwing them in the bag. Bruce watched as he opened the monster, took the lid off the coffee and proceed to pour the monster into the coffee. Bruce raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to die today." The man said, downing the drink quickly. Bruce pulled his phone out in case he had to quickly call EMS. The guy slammed the empty cup on his desk and took a deep breath.
"Was that necessary? You are gonna have a heart attack." Bruce said. The man looked at him from head to toe and back up to his eyes. He watched as the man smiled at him and leaned back in his seat.
"This class is too damn early and I am hungover. That's about as necessary as breathing."
"You dont seem to care about your health." Bruce pointed out.
"I don't." He extended a hand out to Bruce. "My names Tony. Tony Stark."
"Bruce Banner. I would say nice to meet you but judging by what you just did I dont think u have very long to live." Bruce smiled and shook his hand. The man, Tony, just chuckled and reached into his bag. He pulled out a zip lock baggie of blueberries and offered some to Bruce. Bruce took a small handful and popped one in his mouth.
"Well I dont know how much longer I have to live. I may as well enjoy my time."
"What do you mean?" Bruce looked at him, confused. He watched as tony pulled down the top of his shirt some to show Bruce a glowing object on his chest.
"That, my dorky friend, is keeping little metal fragments from piercing my heart." Tony let his shirt go back to its natural position. Bruce sat back some and ate more of the blueberries.
"If it's keeping the metal from going into your heart, why do you say you dont know how long you have?"
"Well right now it is, but the metal is still very slowly getting closer to my heart. The Arc Reactor can only do so much." Tony ate and smiled. Bruce looked at him, intrigued.
"How did it happen?" Bruce asked the question that was on the tip of his tongue.
"Bad place, bad time. I'm just lucky to be alive, I guess." Tony pulled another can of monster out of his bag and opened it. Bruce sighed. This man really didnt care about his health. They watched the professor walk in and the class began.
After the exam, Bruce was packing his stuff and saw a piece of paper laying on his desk. He looked around and saw Tony gone. Bruce looked at the paper and read it. "Heres my number Brucie bear. Hope I can take you out soon. Take care." Read the note. Bruce smiled and put it in his pocket. He could already tell this man is gonna be trouble. He couldn't wait.
