Bruce looked over at Tony. Tony insisted they go one a road trip to his lake house. They got up at six in the morning to load the car up and head out. Tony was driving. He had his high tech sunglasses on and his music was playing softly. Bruce yawned and curled up in the passengers seat.
Tony woke up Bruce when he made a quick stop at a gas station to get snacks and gas. Bruce grumbled and hit Tony's hands to make him stop. Tony smiled and poked his side. Bruce yawned and opened his eyes to look at his boyfriend. "Well hello sleeping beauty. Are you needing to go to the bathroom?" Tony stepped away from the car door so Bruce could get out. Bruce slowly got out of the car and stretched. Bruce nodded and they both headed inside. Tony grabbed them food and drinks while Bruce went to the restroom. Bruce finished and went over to Tony.
"What is all of that Tony?" Bruce looked at all the junk food in Tony's arms. Tony smiled.
"Road food. Is there anything you're wanting?" Tony grabbed another candy bar. Bruce sighed and went to grab something that's a little healthier. Tony paid for everything, then they went back out to the car. The top of the expensive car was down. They both got in and put the food in the back.
"How much farther until we get to the house?" Bruce asked. Tony shrugged.
"Jarvis?"
" Approximately eight more hours sir." Came the AIs voice from the stereo. The people passing by the car stared over in wonder and confusion. Bruce smiled weakly and waved. Tony ignored them and started the car up.
"Thanks J." Tony pulled out of the gas station and started driving down the road.
"You are welcome sir. Do drive safe." Tony smiled and drove. Bruce reached back and grabbed a water and Tony's soda. He unscrewed the lid and passed it to the billionaire. Tony nodded in thanks and took a drink. Bruce smiled and took a drink of his water.
A few hours later, they had to pull into another gas station to get more food. Tony yawned as he paid for it. Bruce looked over at him. "Are you sure you can keep driving Tony? You look tired." They walked out and headed over to the car. Tony shrugged and got in.
"I've done more on less sleep. Driving tired is something I'm used to." Tony grabbed a bag of chips and opened them, putting the bag between his legs to eat them better. Bruce put his bags in the back and sighed.
"That's not the point Tony. We can always break so you can take a nap." Bruce started eating some of the salad he got. Tony shook his head and started the car.
"We are almost there. I'll be ok." Tony drove away from the gas station and back down the road. Bruce sighed and ate his food.
"Whatever you say Stark." Tony smiled and turned his music up, singing along to it.
When they finally got to Tony's lake house, they were both tired. They decided to unload the car later. They went inside and to the bedroom. Tony striped down to his boxers and climbed in, his arc reactor lighting up the room in a soft blue. Bruce took his shoes and shirt off and climbed in next to Tony. They both yawned at the same time and cuddled into each other. Tony fell asleep first. Bruce brushed the hair out of his eyes and smiled. Tomorrow they would start their mini vacation. They could relax and spend time together. Bruce kissed Tony's forehead. "I love you Tony." Bruce whispered, before falling asleep.
