It was a cool morning. Summer was starting to turn into Autumn. The leaves turning colors and birds starting to fly south. Tony looked out of his lake house window, taking a drink of his coffee. Him and Bruce spent the summer at the lake house and away from the rest of the Avengers. Their 2 kids, Peter and Morgan, were also at the house with them. Tony is gonna have to wake everyone soon if they wanna get started on their plans. They were gonna take an early morning hike, Bruce was gonna teach them all how to fish, then once the sun sets, Tony was gonna light a campfire and make S'mores. Tony smiled softly to himself. He sat his mug down and headed into his bedroom. Bruce was still curled up in the middle of the bed with all the blanket wrapped around him, looking very much like a human burrito. Tony walked over and gently shook his arm. When Bruce made no motion of getting up, Tony tried a different tactic. He leaned down and started to pepper kisses all over his husbands showing skin, which wasnt much seeing how he was wrapped up. That got Bruce to stir and finally wake up. Bruce looked up and smiled sleepily at his partner. Tony kisses his forehead. "Morning Brucie Bear. Time to get up." Tony whispered. Bruce hummed and sat up. Tony smiled and made his way to his kids rooms.
Waking Peter was easy. All you have to do is bribe him with pancakes and hes out of bed faster then Quicksilver. Morgan is a little more difficult. Tony has to avoid punches and random kicks. Eventually she gets up when she hears Peter mention food.
They all sit at the table and eat the pancakes Peter made. He always makes the best cause his spider senses tells him when to flip so there is never a burnt pancake.
Finally they head out on the tail. Tony would complain about all the walking but seeing his kids and husband happy, hes willing to suffer through it. When they get back, Bruce starts gathering what they will need to go fishing while Tony and Morgan make lunch. Peter helps Bruce with the fishing stuff while also swinging around on some webs. They head down to the lake after lunch.
Tony manages to not only catch the most fish but also get his line caught the most. That resulted in some unplanned swimming and Tony telling the kids to be careful. They only kept a couple fish so Bruce can fry it up and they can have it for dinner.
They decided it was time to go when Morgan tried to bring home a wild turtle. Bruce dealt with the fish and Tony started the fire. Peter and Morgan took off to their rooms to change. Tony sat back by the fire and looked off into the distance. He never thought he would be here, not only as a city kid in the woods, but with a partner who loves him and 2 kids. Tony looked up when he heard the back door open. Bruce smiled as he walked over with the plate of fish fillets. "Hey." Tony looked up at him.
"Hey. You ok?" Bruce sat down beside him and put the fillets on the rack over the fire to start cooking them. Tony nodded at the question and leaned against his side.
"Just thinking about today. It's been crazy and different. I'm still used to the city." Tony yawned and closed his eyes. He felt Bruce wrap one of his arms around his shoulders and a kiss being pressed to the top of his head.
"Do you regret coming out here?"
"I dont regret anything that has to do with you or them two kids inside. You guys are my world. I wouldn't trade you for anything."
