High School Days

Chapter Six

Lucy's POV

After Gray left I just stood in my living room blushing like an idiot. "W-wha...?" I whispered.

"Come on Lucy snap out of it! Though...I wonder what he was thanking me for...I should be thanking him." I said to myself. I shrugged and went on with my nightly routine and went to sleep with a smile on my face.

                        ~Time skip~

As I me and Levy were walking to school she asked me a shocking question .

"Lucy, do you like Gray?" She asks me still looking down at the book she's reading. I immediately spit out my juice and look Levy like she's crazy.

"Are you serious? No! We're just friends and nothing more!" I say blushing furiously. She laughs and smiles.

"Well I'm asking because cheer tryouts for basketball season are tomorrow. It'll be fun if me, you, and Erza try out together. So do you want to try out?" She says. I think about it for a moment. I never really thought about trying out but I think it would be fun. It's time for me to explore and take risks!

"Alright! I'll sign up!" I say with a bright smile on my face.

Once we get to school we sign up for cheer in the gym and walk to class. I tell Levy to go on so I could get my book out of locker when I walk away I bump into someone.

"Excuse me.." I say and pick my book up.

"Oh..sorry." says the guy. I look up at him and are met with a pair of blood red eyes. I shiver a bit. This boy is very pale and has black hair. Did I mention his blood red eyes? Anyway he didn't look like the friendly person but that never stopped me from talking to anyone. I smile at him.

"No it's fine. I should have been watching where I was going. Anyway sorry again but I really need to get to class. Bye!" I say and walk to class quickly. I'm not getting a detention for being late!

                 ~Time skip lunch~

On the way to lunch I see that guy again. I never did catch his name.

"Um...Excuse me.." I say tapping his shoulder. He turns and looks at me with a blank expression.

"What?" He says coldly. I smile nervously.

"Um well I-I didn't get your name earlier. My name is Lucy by the way." I say holding my hand out. His eyes soften a bit and he shakes my hand. He mutter something along the lines of nice to meet you but I didn't catch the last part. Before I could asked he dashed away. I cocked my head to the side with a puzzled expression on my face then sighed. I continue on to lunch.
