High School Days

Special Chapter: Prom part 2

(I forgot to mention in the last part that this special chapter will be in Lucy's POV)
Once we get to the school we head over to the gym. Everyone is already on the dance floor. Levy and I break away from our dates to look for our friends. We walk around for a few minutes until we spot Erza and a few other girls at a table.
"Erza!" I shout and the red head turns around and wave us over. Me and Levy walk over to the table and sit.
"Hello Lucy, Levy." Mirajane says. I gasp. Mira is a beautiful  girl in general but she looks AMAZING tonight.
"Mira! You look amazing! I love that dress." I say. She's wearing a long lilac colored strapless dress that's fitted around the waist.
"You should have seen Laxus when he saw her. He was practically drooling!" Lisanna says. Mira blushes.
"Well you and Levy look great too. In fact we all do!"
"Hey guys." I turn around and see Wendy dressed in a short light pink dress and flats.
"Aw Wendy-chan you look so adorable!" Levy says making Wendy blush.
"What are you doing here? I thought 9th graders can't go to prom." I said.
"Well it's ok since Natsu-nii invited me and Romeo." She says and starts blushing.
"Ooo so you're finally going to talk to him?" Lisanna says. Wendy has liked Romeo since they were in 4th grade.
"I think it's time for you to confess to him." I say smiling.
"I-" she's cut off when Romeo taps her on the shoulder.
"Um...s-sorry for interrupting your conversation...I was wondering if you wanted to dance with me Wendy-chan." He says nervously. Wendy's eyes widen but she nods. Romeo takes her by the hand and they walk to the dance floor together. We all aw at the adorable scene.
"They grow up so fast.." Erza says. We laugh at her comment.
"Well I think we should all go find our boys and dance our butts off! It's prom! Let's have some fun!" Levy says and we all cheer and find our dates. Luckily all of them were hanging out in the same corner. Erza goes to Jellal, Mira goes to Laxus, Lisanna goes to Natsu, Levy goes to Gajeel and I go to Gray.
"Ready to dance?" He asks and I nod. He takes my hand and we walk to the dance floor.
After a whole hour of dancing with everyone, a senior named Evergreen  goes to the front of the gym.
"Good evening everyone! I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. It is now time to announce prom queen and king!"
Everyone gathers at the front. I remember being a candidate but I know I'm not going to win. Erza and Mira are candidates too.
"For prom queen....the winner is Lucy!" I gasp. Everyone starts clapping and move out the way so I can walk to the front. When I get there Evergreen places the crown on my head and gives me a bouquet of roses.
"Now for the prom king...The winner is Gray!" Gray moves the front and receives his crown.
"Congratulations to our king and queen! Let's make some room so the two can dance. Everyone spreads out and forms a circle around us. The DJ starts playing a slow song and Gray offers his hand out to me.
"May I have this dance?" He asks with a charming smile.
"Of course!" I say and take his hand. We move into the center of the gym and start dancing. Gray's arms are around my waist and my arms are around his neck. This is perfect..
"Lucy.." He whispers in my ear.
"Hm?"
"I love you." He says. I blush and smile.
"I love you too." He pulls me closer and leans in. I close my eyes as I feel his warm lips on mine. A perfect kiss to end a perfect night.

Such a sweet ending...this will actually be the last special chapter. Two more chapters before the end of this book. Thank you everyone who have been patient with my slow updates and writer's block. This'll be my first and final Gralu book. I might do one shots. But after this I'm moving on to other animes and write original stories. Give me some suggestions if you want!
