The second week flew by in a blur. History of Magic was as boring as always, Defense Against the Dark Arts full of stuttering and funny smells, in Transfiguration most of the students could successfully transfigure their matches into needles. Even me. But other than that, the lessons were all the same as before, Astronomy too, except that today will be a very exciting day for us first years.
We found it out on a notice board in the common room that first years will have their very first flying lesson with Madam Hooch this afternoon.

Morag and I walked out the door of Transfiguration when someone stuck out their foot, making me trip forward, but luckily for my fast reflexes, I managed to flip off a somersault and landed perfectly on my two feet. I turned around to look at the person who was responsible for my trip, and saw with no surprise that it was Pansy, who was fuming. I smiled at Morag and went to stand in front of Pansy.
"Hello Pansy."
I greet her, with no hatred laced in my voice.
"Powell."
She grumbled back.
"Why did you do that for?"
I asked, gesturing for what just happened.
Pansy stood up straight and fold her arms.
"Isn't it obvious? I tried to trip you."
She shot back.
I slowly nodded my head.
"But why?"
I pushed.
She glared at me.
"So that you can fall flat on your face, and maybe break your nose in the process."
She snickered.
Okay that's enough.
"What did I ever do to you?"
I ask her, feeling fed up.
"I just don't like you."
She flipped her hair and walked away, along with Millicent trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
"What a drama queen."
Morag stated as she watched them walk away.
We turned around and walked the opposite way, going to Charms class. We looked at each other and laughed, realizing that Parkinson and Bulstrode went the wrong way.

I was sitting in the Great Hall for lunch, with Morag, Isobel and Mandy at the Ravenclaw table. While we were doing homework, I informed Mandy and Isobel of the Pansy incident this morning.
"Typical Slytherin."
Mandy mumbled.
"They never like someone outside of their house."
Isobel piped in, stabbing a potato with her fork.
"You should have seen Leila, though." Morag boosted. "She acted as if it didn't affect her."
"Because it didn't." I butt in. "Just irritated that I did nothing to her to deserve what she did to me."
"She wants you to suffer, but don't give her the satisfaction."
Mandy said, Isobel and Morag agreeing.
"Nice save on the trip though."
Morag said after a minute of silence between us four.
