"What do you think we'll be doing in Charms today?"
I ask Mandy while we walked from Transfiguration to Professor Flitwick's class.

Spooky season has approached and will be gone in just a few hours' time.

Today is Halloween. Unfortunately we could not dress up in costumes like all the other kids in the muggle world, but at least we are having a feast tonight, and I can hardly wait for all the yummy food that is waiting for me.

"Probably discussing more spells that we won't ever try out."
Mandy mumbled in a bored tone.

And it was true. He never allowed us to do the spells. No, he always discuss it, demonstrate the spell himself, but us just practicing the spell movement, and then carry on with the rest of the discussion.

I was seated beside Hermione while we waited for Professor Flitwick to arrive. There were feathers placed on the desks in front of every student, strange enough.

"I wonder if we will be using a spell to turn these feathers into chickens?"
Morag asked in wonder, sarcasm laced in her voice.

Mandy and I snorted at her question, but did not reply.

The door opened, making us sober up, and small Professor Flitwick walked in and made his way to his desk. Once he reaches it, he climbed on top of his desk and stood on top of a pile of books, that was set there from the beginning of the school year so that we could all see him very clearly.

After a struggle to get to the top, he finally succeeds and cleared his throat.

"Good morning students."
He said in a happy tone.

Clearly someone is having a nice morning.

A choir of 'Good morning Professor Flitwick' was heard.

"Now I know you all have been dozing off in my class because of no physical practicing, but I think you all are finally ready to cast your first spell."
At the sound of that, every student's head perked up. This has definitely lightened up the mood.

"One of the Wizard's most brutal mental skills is levitation, one; the ability to make objects fly. Uh, do you have your feathers?"
We all looked down at the feather in front of us to make sure that it is there.

Hermione made it obvious and lifted up her feather for Flitwick.

"Good. Now, don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The swish and flick. Everyone. The swish and flick."
We all copied Professor Flitwick's movement that we learned in his class a few times before.

"Good. And annonciate. Wingardium Leviosa. Off you go then."

He stood still and watched us all while we began to cast the spell on the feather.

"Wingardium Leviosaaa."
I cast my spell on the feather, but it wouldn't budge. Maybe my wrist movement is off.

And so I tried again.
