Hooo, damb can't believe I fell in love with my own story (I wrote owl family which makes no sense). Now I have to continue this story for the sake of my reading obsession.
Tony awoke to his mom opening the curtains, making some small talk, and letting him know about breakfast. After school, he went to Luna's house and checked up on Rudolph.
Rudolph cried out, "We need to go meet Luna."
"Yeah let's go! But uh, how?" Tony said before scratching his chin in thought.
"Easy, give me your hand." The vampire stepped onto the windowsill and put a hand out for Tony.
Tony whispered, "You're not gonna suck my blood again are you?" Hesitating to grab Rudolph's hand.
Luckily, he wasn't offended...much. "No, we're gonna fly."
Gripping the other's hand and lunging onto the windowsill, Tony exclaimed,b"Oh cool! I always wanted to fly, not on an airplane though. Been there, done that." Tony tried not to notice how their hands fit perfectly.
"Airplane?" Rudolph repeated looking down at the other boy.
Tony made gestures with his other hand while talking, "Uh, it's a transport that flies. It's big, usually white, and makes loud noises." Even doing a few airplane noises.
"Ah, those. Oh and Tony?" The immortal levitates just an inch while speaking. Grabbing Tony's other hand and looking right at him.
"Yeah?" A shiver traveled down Tony's spine, he didn't think it was that cold. It was only a little after noon after all.
"Don't let go of my hand, I don't want to explain to Luna what happened to you." Rudolph pleaded. Remembering a time before when he tested to see if cats landed on their feet and almost died.
"I'm not stupid Rudo-" Tony's feet were off the grounds, he was completely weightless. He was also spinning around, after all this was his first time flying.
"Tony, we've gotta stop spinning." The vamp said looking all around, perfectly fine. (Since he has no contents in his stomach...I think.)
"I don't know how to stop." The sunny skin turned green and pale.
"Fine, I'll lead."
Taking Tony by the shoulders, Rudolph stopped their spinning and led them out the window, Tony quickly turning back from green to his usual skin tone. They both held their breath (well mostly Tony) as they saw each other in the moonlight.
When they first met it was a moment of awkward terror and pain, mostly surprise. But now it was almost peaceful, and a lull was pulling them in even if they didn't know it.
Tony's golden locks, freckled skin, and sky-blue eyes glowed much more in the dark than in the light. Almost like they gave off light themselves. It was ethereal to Rudolph, three hundred years and he had never seen a mortal or sight more breathtaking. (I gotta stop with the breathing because vampires don't breathe.)
Rudolph's gray skin seemed silver now, the light reflecting all his sharp features. Hair blacker than the night and slicked up naturally. Those maroon and blood eyes were so beautiful but deadly. Like a rose covered in thorns. Tony found himself staring right at them, and he was so enchanted flying no longer bothered him.
Both stared and observed for a minute before they quietly continued flying to Luna or where she hopefully was. They took in the silence and thanked it, and though it was supposed to be awkward it felt right. To appreciate the other for so long though they just met.
Tony enjoyed the view of trees, mountains, and lakes painted in the night. So high and far in the sky, time passed just fast enough for it to seem their moment was an imagination. A mere thought, but something told him it was real and it was meant. Meant for what, he didn't know but Tony hoped to find out.
