We sat in silence for the entire movie. My head resting on his chest, his legs either side of my small body.
It wasn't awkward tho. We just enjoyed each other's company like the good old times until he finally broke the silence.
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..." he murmured. I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word. "What a stupid lamb." I sighed. "What a sick, masochistic lion."
Alexei leaned down and rested his head on mine causing my heart to flutter.
"We both have scars, Alexei, but being with you makes them seem faded. It's like with you, they don't feel as scary." I admitted, running my hand along my collarbone.
"Yours are beautiful, because they show your strength." then he pointed at his veiny hands and muscular arms, "But this is the skin of a killer, I've done things you couldn't even imagine."
"I find you beautiful."
"I love you, I never stopped loving you." he whispered just before I drifted off to sleep with Alexei beneath me.
PEZZO MENCANTE
"VALENCIA, WHAT THE FUCK?!" Gianni yells awaking me from my deep slumber.
I slowly open my eyes and it takes me a while to process what is going on until my eyes final meet Gianni's which are filled with anger.
What the fuck is wrong with him? I think to myself until I finally realise who is brushed up against me. Alexei.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. It's just my luck that we both fell asleep and my brother walks in on us spooning. My luck is that bad that if I bought a cemetery people would stop dying.
"Val, What the fuck is he doing here?!" Gianni seethes as he rips the covers away from us.
"He um, he-he's just a friend from Serbia." I stutter as Alexei gradually wakes up but is immediately met with a harsh glare from Gianni.
"Get the fuck away from my sister" Gianni shouts and the loud noise evidently caught the attention of all my brothers as they all came running into my room.
Shit.
Alexei and I were both immediately met with every single one of their harsh glares immediately making me fear the worst. Fear what would happen when Ivan looked at me like that.
When Ivan found Alexei and I like this.
"OI I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!" Lorenzo yells as a vein pops out of his forehead.
I know that Alexei knows me well enough to know i'm freaking the fuck out right now which he proves by tightening his grip around my waist before whispering in my ear.
"Hey, hey it's ok, nobody's going to hurt you." he whispers into my ear but those words immediately catch my brothers attention.
A confused look grows on all of there already angered expressions before Alessandro breaks the silence "I'm not going to hurt her, but i'm sure as hell going to kick the shit out of you." he seethes before making his way over to Alexei whilst sending him a threatening glare.
Alexei gets out of the bed to his full height and soon comes eye to eye with Ale as they both evidently size eachother up. Thankfully, Angelo holds the rest of my brothers back from completely tearing his head off.
"Believe me, you don't understand." Alexei says in soft tone yet not breaking their eye contact for a second.
Ale averts his gaze to me before shouting "Is this who you were with the other night? When you lied about staying at our cousins?" as he points his finger at me.
Fuck. He must've asked Salvatore about it. He knows I lied to him. I'm in some deep fucking shit.
Alexei now sends me a questioning look before Gio finally has enough and throws a hard punch to Alexei's jaw.
And then all hell broke loose.
Everyone but Luca began throwing hard punches and kicks at Alexei who also fought back. I couldn't help but feel panicked. Panicked that like last time i'd never see Alexei and that they'd do unimaginative things to me. Just like with Ivan. But this time it wasn't just Ivan, 5 of my brothers made sure to leave their mark.
My breathing began getting uneven and my small body began to tremble in fear as I caught sight of their angered expressions. "Please stop." I barely even whispered but enough for them to hear me.
Now all I could see... was Ivan.
Luca immediately made his way over to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder trying to be comforting but it just made it worse. I felt trapped.
I instantly flinch away which most definitely doesn't go unnoticed by everyone as tears now stream down my face at a rapid face. Flashbacks of when Ivan would beat Alexei right in front of my eyes came flashing back.
"Val, what is it?" Angelo asks with concern lacing his tone. My discomfort was evidently a priority to my brothers as it seemed to be the only thing stopping them from beating the shit out of a really fucked up and bloody Alexei.
Without even thinking I whisper "I-Ivan. H-he was just here." Which caused perplexed expression to appear on everyone's face except Alexei's now very concerned one.
"What do you mean? Is that a bad thing?" Lorenzo questions as he studies me.
Once Alexei notices my state, he immediately sends Ale a hard punch now that he was distracted and runs over to me to give me a reassuring hug.
"He can't get to you baby. He's locked up."Alexei reassures and at that the room goes silent.
"I-I need to talk to my brothers." I whisper causing him to pull away. He looks unsure. "I'll be okay" I reassure him
Alexei puts his hands in the air when all my brothers glare at him as he leaves me room and heads downstairs. "Let him go." I state coldy mainly directed to Lorenzo as he looked just about ready to chase after him and seperate Alexei's head from his shoulders.
There's no getting out of this one. I'll just have to hope for the best that they won't hate me for it.
No more lies.
Once again, everyone keeps their eyes on me which I can't help but feel a little intimated at.
