The Wedding

Amanda POV

"How much did you girls have to drink last night!?" Shouted Hannah right into my ear.

I was still hungover from Akko's bachelorette party.

"Hey take it easy, I got her here right?" I said

"Take it easy?! Diana is currently waiting at the altar, the marriage officiant called in sick so I had to call a new one and Akko is here passed out drunk. I told you to moderate your drinking." Complained Hannah

"Well when you put it that way. Don't worry Sucy is working on an potion that will sober her up and I'm sure the marriage officiant will get here in time." I assured

Hannah sighed.

"I wish I had the optimism you have. Why on Earth did I agree to organize this wedding? I should have recommended a professional."

"Hey don't beat yourself up. You had little control over the marriage officiant getting sick and Akko drinking to much. After that you kept a cool head and immediately found a replacement." I comforted

Sucy came into the room with a vial of clear but glowing liquid.

"this should sober her up instantly." said Sucy putting a funnel into Akko's mouth and pouring the contents in.

I could count my lucky stars, thanks to Sucy's high poison resistance she's also developed a agility to avoid getting inebriated. Although she really pushed the extent of that ability with the sheer volume of alcohol she drank. Akko shot straight up attempting to cough up what went down her throat.

"Is it morning already?" complained Akko

"Yep and it's your wedding day too." I said

"Wait, what time is it?!" panicked Akko

"Time to get you dressed. Because Amanda got you here so late we changed some things around meaning you'll be the one walking up the aisle." Explained Hannah as she got out Akko's wedding kimono.

"Amanda, do me a favor and keep a look out for the marriage officiant." said Hannah shooing me out of the room.

I walk outside in front of the church building and looked out for the marriage officiant. Every time a car went past I would half expect them to pull into the parking lot. About half a hour later a army green mini copper pulled into the parking lot.

A short man stepped out of the vehicle adjusting his suit that looks like he put on while rushing out the door.

"Are you the marriage officiant?" I asked

"Yes, that would be me." He held a hand out awkwardly. "Gavador, I'm the marriage officiant (as well as shameless self insert). But of course I already confirmed that. Sorry I'm late, I wasn't expecting anything to come up today."

I shook his hand.

"Amanda, I'm one of the bridesmaids." I said

"Well if you'd show me to the altar it'd be appreciated. The longer we wait the longer the happy couple aren't married. The last thing I want is to hold up a wedding." said Gavador

"Dude, you need to chill." I said

"Sorry I'm not good with social interaction." He explained

"And you're a marriage officiant?" I asked

"I thought it would help me break out of my shell."

"How's that working out for you?"

"Is the sky green?"
