Dragon and Fountain

Akko POV

"That went fine, Anabelle writing again and Lotte can read her writing." I said as Sucy and I sat in bed, Lotte was out talking to a friend she made.

"I'll admit, this shows we can fix the timeline. We didn't even have to get in trouble again." Said Sucy "So what's next?"

"Let's see...the dragon pact is next. This day is actually quite important. This is where I get Amanda's respect which is important if we want to get the new nine witches together."

"Wow, your actually starting to sound responsible."

"Well, yeah, I screwed up the timeline. Therefore I should fix it."

"Don't be so hard on yourself, that's what I'm for."

I laughed at that, I'd better rest before the big day tomorrow. As I slept I thought about Diana. Ever since the incident she's been alienated by many of the students and staff.

The next day Amanda's group and my group. Were cleaning the main tower after an argument. Like last time the dragons robots came along and stole the philosopher's stone.

Before we knew it we were in the laundry room.

"So I've been wondering" said Amanda "what's the deal with you and Diana?"

My mind instantly went to my memories of the other timeline. I couldn't help but blush at some memories.

"I-uh I barely know her." I said trying to sound convincing.

"Strange, you seem to be dodging the question. Diana literally tried to kill you. After reading the school paper I'd say she's got some dirt on you."

"What? No of course not!"

"Just saying, not that I really care. You stole my broom."

"Stole it? It wasn't even yours to begin with!"

"Miss Kagari, the headmistress would like to see you." Said professor Ursala as she walked in.

"Really, but I've got laundry to do?"

"Wow, I've never know a girl who wouldn't take an excuse not to be punished." Commented Amanda

"Don't worry about that, Diana will be taking your place." Said the professor

"What, but Diana is supposed to be the head student. Shouldn't she be leading the students?" I asked

"Don't worry Akko, everything is under control. You'll understand when you talk to the headmistress."

I worriedly followed Professor Ursula to the headmistress office. I felt uncomfortable knowing Diana was doing something I was supposed to be doing. How am I supposed to befriend Amanda if we don't share the same punishment.

When we arrived headmistress Holbrook smiled at me.

"It's so nice of you to be here. I'd like to offer you a special opportunity. How would you like to be head girl?" She asked

"Wait, but isn't Diana head girl?" I asked

"Unfortunately after the incident, the teachers have decided Diana Cavendish can no longer be head girl. We're willing to overlook you mischief behaviour but attacking another student is unacceptable." She explained

"But she's more suited to head girl. She's has great leadership skills and is far better at magic than I am."

"I understand your concern, but I'm sure you will rise to the challenge. Now, unfortunately due to the absence of the philosopher's stone the faeries are unavailable. Thus you'll be in charge of organising the students. Here's a list of things that need to be done."
